Osteosarcomas are malignant tumors of bone. The treatment of osteosarcomas have continued to evolve to include chemotherapy, limb salvage and more novel methods such as immunotherapy and targeted therapy. Osteochondromas and Osteoid Osteomas are benign tumors of bone. Osteochondromas are known for the external growth from the bone and a cartilage cap. Osteoid Osteomas are known for causing pain to the area of the lesion. In this episode we discuss the pathogenesis, typical presentation and treatment of both diagnoses.

We discuss enchondromas with Dr. Alysia Kemp. Enchondromas are benign cartilaginous tumors that occur within bone. Enchondromas can be difficult to differentiate from low grade chondrosarcomas. It is the second most common benign cartilage tumor. They commonly occur in adults and are often incidental findings. They usually do not cause pain, when they do it warrants further examination.
