D23 is officially in the books, and Star Wars came away with exactly what we were hoping for, a clearer picture of what's coming in 2027.

We got the first footage from Star Wars: Starfighter, the official trailer for Ahsoka Season 2, and confirmation that Maul – Shadow Lord is coming in 2027. While none of this necessarily comes as a huge surprise, D23 finally gives us a much clearer look at the Star Wars slate leading into 2027.

And here's where things get really interesting…

There are currently no major new Star Wars announcements beyond 2027.

Honestly? That might be a good thing.

With Star Wars Celebration coming next year, the door is wide open for Lucasfilm to start revealing what's next, new movies, new series, and whatever else is waiting beyond the current roadmap.
