Saturday Midnight Cartoons

Margaret and Tristan astronavigate toward a weird collision of hyperfixations as they talk about Margaret's favorite Star Wars character - the long lipped green chanteuse that is Sy Snootles - and her brief appearance in the animated Clone Wars series. Margaret invents a new species, Tristan wants to see Sy Snootles pinup art, and neither one knows what the heck a fluid sack is for.

Margaret and Tristan dig deep into their childhood memories and also geologic time as they talk about an extremely obscure, extremely weird VHS tape. Put yourself in a Mesozoic Mindset, tuck yourself in to your dinosaur-themed bedsheets, and get ready for claymation dinosaurs in Will Vinton's Dinosaurs! A Fun-Filled Trip Back In Time.

In this episode, Margaret and Tristan discuss mouse armies, a tap-dancing octopus, and the most dramatic exes. And everything else in The Great Mouse Detective, the 1986 underrated Disney classic.

In the inaugural episode of Saturday Midnight Cartoons we discuss the 1997 20th Century Fox film Anastasia. The tragedy! The legend! The... talking bat and dancing bugs?

You can tell we recorded this a while back because I am no longer 33 and my cohost has a different name now! What can I say? Good things take time!
