This episode we are continuing the message and inspiration and are joined again with the greatest military lyricist of all time, The Marine Rapper.  If you haven't listened to episode 39 with Space Force, we recommend listening to that episode first.  Although it is not necessary to hear that episode first, it will help with some context to what we continue with in this conversation.  Not only is TMR a two time marine combat veteran and military journalist, he's a number 1 billboard artist.  His conservative, wholesome, and pertinent music spans multiple genres as he's collaborated with a multitude of artists.

We spend some time discussing TMR's family and background, along with his time in the military both here and oversees.   He regales us with his stories of living in new countries, surviving dangerous situations, and meeting some amazing people under stressful circumstances.  It is so interesting to hear him describe what he went through in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Everyday TMR spends roughly 22 minutes on an IG live talking to veterans who need someone to talk to.  His podcast, Alive Everyday is a play on words meaning doing an IG live every day, but also recognizing the fact that we're alive today.  After almost 3 years of going live everyday and talking to so many people, we knew he would have the best answer for Bridget's end of episode question "If you were given the world's attention for 30 seconds, what would you say?"... and he didn't disappoint.

Topher started writing and performing music as early as ten years old, but ventured into politics in November 2019, having discovered his passion for empowerment and fostering positive growth in the society.   Topher uses politics as a platform to eradicate the traditional paradigm of biased information and rumors.  He draws from his love for seeing people entertained to restoring hope to them with his capability.

The conversation centered around standing strong for our country, standing strong for our rights, and standing strong for our families.   Discussing the importance of getting back to our foundational principles as a nation.  Music is a starting point for people to come together.   It's a way to connect values and thoughts beyond just politics.   We can find people who like the same types of music we do, then expand out from there to find commonalities.  Knowing that these songs are at the top of the billboard charts and in movies without any music label should tell our audience how powerful they are and how many other people truly stand for freedom within this country and around the world.

This episode we are joined again by Hip-Hop artist and Air Force Veteran  D. Cure.  If you haven't listened to episode 39 with Space Force, we recommend listening to that episode first.  Although it is not necessary to hear that episode first, it will help with some context to what we continue with in this conversation.

We begin this episode with D. Cure's song Home, a song based on his struggle with alcoholism.  He bravely shares with us the difficulties he faced through this time with marriage, his military service, and mental health.  He ended up asking God to take him "Home" because he couldn't take the pain of the struggle anymore.   Thank God, he survived and has made it through to be able to be with us today writing  and singing such strong and compelling music. 

The conversation continues with us talking about how it's okay to not be okay, but by changing your path you can change your family.  D. Cure discusses walking in his purpose, being a man of God, a vet, a husband, and living a sober lifestyle.  He uses his platform to not only encourage others with music, but also by using humor on his social media to give people something lighthearted in this dark world.  He reminisces about how  life was before he found God again, found his amazing wife, and lived 7 years sober.  We never know what the next day will bring us, but if we start out by taking the first step, you never know what God has in store for you.

Annette has an extraordinary survivor story we will be discussing - she was involved in child trafficking after her parents handed her off to her first handler as a child, and the trafficking continued into her adult life as she was passed along from new handler to handler. Today she bravely stands before you as she fights for her freedom, the freedom of her children who are currently in the hands of corrupt CPS, and her passion for being on the forefront of fighting for Human Trafficking Awareness. 

On March 6th, 2022, Annette is championing a NATIONWIDE HUMAN TRAFFICKING MARCH that we will be announcing and covering also in this episode. We want to empower you all to take ownership by learning the how's and WHYS of creating and participating in marches bringing awareness to this difficult topic that affects so many worldwide. Talking about human and child trafficking is great, but we all want to encourage you all to take the next step - which is ACTION! One of the other things you will see Annette doing is going up to random strangers in random locations and questioning them about human trafficking and CPS on camera. Some of the responses she gets are inspirational and others are shocking. But regardless, when it comes to taking ‘action’, Annette is leading the pack through her example! Annette is truly a walking miracle who has seen and survived the depths of hell and who stands before you today as an angel to the children and a Child of God doing God’s work.

We are chatting today with VBDC aka Seth, the man behind Venice Beach Dub Club.  At the time of this recording, Seth had the #1 reggae album called Purebloods.  VBDC stood up against social justice issues even while watching his connections and friends walk away.   He is an outspoken, freedom loving, God-fearing influencer who leads the nightly live show Talkie Time.   

We spend time talking about human trafficking, abortion, education, and the crazy ways of the world.  This episode shows that all genres of music, types of people, all backgrounds, can stand up together to become a bigger sphere of influence for our children.   Everyone looks up to musicians...music runs our lives.  Celebrities, athletes, politicians all use music for their platform, musicians don't need those people for their music.  So if we can find a way to change the narrative of the music being creating, we create that better landscape for future generations.

"You can fool a man a thousand times before you can make a man admit he was wrong once" - Mark Twain.   That is the situation we are in today in the world.  We have to be willing to admit we've been fooled so we're not perpetuating the problem.  VBDC has found that standing for freedom comes at a cost, but it has ultimately paid off.  His message and inspiration behind his music is strong and he is proud to be able to support the underserved population who is standing up for what is right.

Continuing our series on the message and inspiration behind the music, in this episode we are speaking to Alexandria (Alex) Kutcher an independent artist with a sultry voice who was noticed for her cover of the Evanescence song Bring Me To Life.  It was so spot on that it ended up getting a reshare by lead singer Amy Lee.  

We spent some time talking about how she is writing and creating create music while holding down a full-time job and being present in her marriage with her husband Austin.   She discusses how important it is to grow your voice and name in the area you are in by doing the consistent work.   Our conversation was an encouragement to those who are independent artists because you don't need a record label to become a household name, you just need to be true to yourself, write good songs, and keep on pushing through.

The podcast continues with us talking about her new song 6am and discussing the importance of fostering your marriage.  6am is a brief look into the 10 year relationship between Alex and Austin with a nod to the vows Austin said to her on their wedding day.   We discuss the world view of marriage and what we, as Christian wives, believe  marriage should be and who we strive to be within our marriages.  It's a good conversation for those married or single as something to consider.

This episode was recorded as an Instagram live a few weeks back.  It was a great conversation with independent country artist Rick Lynn.  A musician who is writing powerful music that stands up for freedom and what is right, while working and raising a family.    Rick tells us how he likes to create music that means something to himself and others while staying away from a political agenda.  He wants music that will speak to you and be something you can listen to in your car with your entire family.

We discuss how important it is to invest in yourself no matter what goal you have.  To continue to plant seeds, move forward, and be true to yourself.  Success is measured in different ways, but it's always important to look back and say you tried something or you stood up for something even if it doesn't result in high levels of fame.   Rick says "If you can change people's lives and you can make money doing what you love, then you've made it in music." 

What's his advice for the next generation?  "People will judge you no matter what, so just be yourself."  It's easy to hide behind a computer screen or a social media handle, so most of the time you don't know them.  Don't let those people dictate your attitude and forward movement.  Stay positive, find your tribe, and stay true to yourself.

On todays episode we are talking to Brandon and Breanna, the founders of Red Light Rebellion.  They are a local (Arizona) group that goes out into the community and speaks primarily to kids in 7th to 12th grades about the dangers they face with human and sex trafficking, having healthy relationships, and the dangers of pornography. Although teens are their focus, they also speak to parents, churches, and communities in the area as this is something we all need to be aware of.

We discuss what Brandon and Breanna are seeing when visiting schools, talk about some scary statistics plaguing our kids, and what they’re doing to fight against it.  At Red Light Rebellion they know there is a movement all around the world of young people fighting against sex trafficking, and they are creating a culture that is intolerant of exploitation. This generation is igniting a rebellion against sex trafficking like history has never seen before!

We encourage listening to this episode with your teen as a way to start communication about difficult topics.  You might be surprised by what they already know from friends and peers.

There is no other way we'd rather kick 2021 to the curb than to reminisce with our girl Emma.  2021 was a WILD year and one that has brought us crazy times and great success!   We bring it back to the beginning when we decided that Stand By Survivors would be a cool group name, that we should probably think about creating a podcast, and figuring out who we wanted to work with.  Bridget's journal is FILLED with people we prayed we'd be able to interview and have and one's we're still waiting to chat with. 

We discuss our best times and our hardest times as podcast hosts, business owners, working ladies, and moms/wives.   Each of us tells what we hope will come for us personally and professionally in 2022.  And finally where we think the world is headed in the future.  God has set our path for us and we are blessed to be together on this journey.   Sometimes it's scary, sometimes it's overwhelming, but all the time it's filled with our passion for helping survivors and love for each other.   We are so excited to see what 2022 has in store for us and we thank you all for sticking by us.

Dear Heavenly Father~
