Eric interviews Dan Foster, an Australian blogger and podcaster. His writing is on the blogging platform Medium, and his podcast is the Backyard Church podcast. Dan co-founded this podcast, and an informal Sunday gathering also called Backyard Church, for people who can't or don't attend traditional church services. Eric and Dan have a great conversation about his faith journey, his "crisis of church," and how he's reconstructing his spiritual life and reaching new heights with his ministry.

In the second episode of our interview series, Eric talks with Pastor Jule Maskrod of Patterson Baptist Church in Patterson, MO. Pastor Jule shares some of his faith journey and testimony, relates a couple highlights from his 45-year marriage, and offers wisdom about the importance of scripture and the Holy Spirit. We come to know God most in the interaction of scripture and Spirit, and this interview illustrates that dynamic in powerful ways.
