I Corinthians 10:11-13

We need to remember that we are not immune to falling, that temptations and trials are common to all, and that God is faithful.

We have received awesome spiritual blessings in Christ Jesus, including the power to live lives pleasing to God. However, if we’re not careful, we can still blow it. Let’s learn from Old Testament Israel.

In this passage the Apostle Paul tells us he gave up his personal rights and sought to live his life in such a way as to win as many as possible to Jesus Christ. God challenges us to do the same.

Psalm 51:7

Water baptism is an outward sign of several spiritual realities including the glorious truth that Jesus' blood washes believers completely clean of all sin and guilt.

As we wait for Christ's return, we must draw near to God through our Great High Priest, hold fast to our hope, and stir up one another to love and good works.

Being right matters. But loving people matters even more. Loving others means laying down our rights for them, just like Christ did for us.

Jesus calls people to worship in Spirit and in truth.

1 Corinthians 7:1-16, 39-40

Jesus Christ wants us to prosper in Him whether we’re single or married. When Paul came and preached Jesus Christ to the Corinthians and they believed, then they needed to be instructed about sexual purity. They had lots of questions. If sexual immorality is a sin, should I not have physical relations in marriage? Should I even get married or stay single? I believed in Jesus but my spouse didn’t. Should I divorce? If I have relations with my unbelieving spouse am I defiled? And are our children unclean? In today's passage Paul--really the Lord--answers these questions.

God cares about every decision you make. You can discern His will though knowing His Word, praying, and being led by His Spirit.

Our goal is to glorify God in our bodies. He has given us all we need to do this--the promises of His Word, the power of the Holy Spirit, prayer, and fellow believers to help us.
