Names meant something in biblical times. The name attached to a child would many times be a prophetic hope spoken over that baby. This was literally true when one of God's great prophets predicted the birth of a special child, hundreds of years before it took place. He called Him Wonderful, Counselor, Almighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace.
