Tarisha Gilmore is the founder of Parents and Teachers Helping Students (P.A.T.H.S.) and Parents Raising Achievement in Students Education (P.R.A.I.S.E.). She is a former contributing writer for the DC Examiner and a published author of “My Thoughts to My Father,” a collection of poetry.
