Our fairly inebriated conversation with our friend @quadrush continues as we discuss and debate the current state of contemporary R&B music and the artists who make it. The debate includes discussions of the continually blurry line between rappers and male R&B singers, the differences between new R&B artists who do new styles of music versus those trying to continue older traditions, detailed discussions about the singing styles of various male and female R&B artists (yes, including Brandy), and how late-era Michael Jackson may have inadvertently influenced the current generation of under-singing singers. We also analyze some of the music of artists like Chris Brown, Bryson Tiller, Tinashe, Eryn Allen Kane, and more.

We made an attempt to limit this one to an hour because we were recording it fairly late, but with all three of us being big music fans, we just kept it going because the conversation was that enjoyable.

* Even though we recorded this show a few days ago, I’m typing this just after learning about the untimely passing of one of all of our personal music heroes, Prince Rogers Nelson. We’d like to extend condolences to his family and friends, as well as the millions/billions of people over the years that his music and artistry touched. We’ll be doing a tribute to Prince in the very near future to discuss what his music meant to not just us personally, but the world at present and n the future as well.

A visit from our good friend @quadrush and a few drinks make for a fairly epic conversation. We also discuss the coming Hanna-Barbera Cinematic Universe, the whitewashing of both "Doctor Strange" and "Ghost in the Shell", AMC's ultimately unpopular proposal to allow texting in the movie theater, much of the craziness in our own lives involving both our experiences at the movies and our internet lives, and Breyon Prescott's continuing public war of words with Quad's favorite singer, one Brandy Norwood, whom Quad is (finally) here to defend tooth and nail.

Few, if any, would have been able to tell when it was on the air, but “Martin” has emerged as one of the most enduring and influential sitcoms of the 1990s. Brandon, John, Ken, and Jamison hang their collective heads in shame as “Batman v Superman” continues its critical and commercial freefall, which leads to a heavy debate over whether or not “Man of Steel” was Supermanish enough of a film.
