On this seventh episode of the S.B.R. Podcast we are joined by Suzie Cool. Suzie is a multi-talented sports media personality, who currently works for the Rochester Americans in the American Hockey League.
Suzie Cool is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Over the past 7 years she has worked for multiple organizations, including: Pittsburgh Penguins (Media Relations Intern), ROOTSports (Live Production Intern), Entercom Radio (Producer), Wheeling Nailers (In-Arena Host), Pittsburgh Riverhounds (In-Game Host/Reporter), Pittsburgh Pirates (Co-Host), AT&T Sports Network (Social Media Coordinator), and the Salem Red Sox (On-Field Host, Media/Graphics Assistant, & Color Analyst).
During the 2019 season with the Salem Red Sox (Class A-Advanced affiliate of the Boston Red Sox) Suzie made history...not once, but twice. Suzie was first named the first-female to broadcast in the Carolina League during the 2018 season, and in 2019 she was part of the first all-female broadcasting team in professional baseball history alongside her co-commentator, Melanie Newman.
If you’re passionate about sports media, broadcasting, and journalism you do not want to miss this episode. Suzie goes into great detail about the highs & lows of the sports media industry.
