On this episode of the S.B.R. Podcast we will be joined by Justin Halladay. Justin is joining us from Medellin, Colombia where he is the President & Founder of Project Béisbol.

Project Béisbol is a on-profit organization dedicated to developing baseball and softball programs for boys and girls in Latin America. The organization does a great deal of work in supporting charities, and schools with: equipment donations, high quality instruction, exchange programs, educational workshops and leadership programs. According to the missions statement the ultimate goal of Project Béisbol is to "...empower young leaders and fomenting positive social change on the local level in Latin America...'

On this episode we will be speaking with Justin about the story behind Project Béisbol. Justin will describe why he chose Latin America, how the sport has grown, and describe the positive impact that baseball has brought to the economically deprived regions of Latin America.

As alumni and former college baseball players at La Salle University, the two ballplayers recently heard the news that their former baseball program will be cut (no longer supported by La Salle University). Upon hearing this devastating news, Joe & James decided to work fast & now are in the midst of a major effort to save the La Salle University men's baseball program. With the full support of current players, coaching staff, family, and friends, their efforts to-date have not gone unnoticed.

This episode will shed in-depth detail and context on how the #SaveLaSalleBASE movement has picked up a great deal of publicity, and even national media attention thus far in the month of October. With recent appearances on Barstool Pizza Review, local media outlets, and now the S.B.R. Podcast, Joe & James efforts are quickly paying off.

Suzie Cool is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. During the 2019 season with the Salem Red Sox (Class A-Advanced affiliate of the Boston Red Sox) Suzie made history...not once, but twice. Suzie was first named the first-female to broadcast in the Carolina League during the 2018 season, and in 2019 she was part of the first all-female broadcasting team in professional baseball history alongside her co-commentator, Melanie Newman.
