Routines are essential in practice and life. What is your daily routine like? I like to get up early so that I can pray or meditate. I will drink some water and have a small, nutritious snack. Then I work on my self directed investment. I check on the market at 6:30 AM Pacific when the market opens. I spend about 30 minutes on investing and then I put my running shoes on and go for a run, work on strength training, and then come home to some have healthy breakfast. That helps me to set my day up for success. I am Dr. Cary Yurkiw, DC and today we're talking about the services we offer at True North Practice Management. We cater to health professionals. Our target market is doctors, therapists, and clinics. We have been working with students that will be graduating soon to get them the best career opportunities.

Some of the services we have been offering include designing a professional CV to get the best job opportunities. We have been helping students, doctors, and therapists to design a business and life plan that they can follow over the next five years, including the next steps in their careers.

We have been helping clinics to find the best talent for their job opportunities, including advertising and professional search services. Hello, my name is Dr. Cary Yurkiw, DC and I chose to become a business coach two years ago because I wanted to share my experience with new doctors and therapists in practice. I remember graduating 26 years ago and being very energetic but lacking experience. Fortunately, I had two family members that were health professionals and they were my mentors. I looked up to them not only in practice but life too. I could see how well they managed their practice, lifestyle and family including their children. During the last few weeks as clinics were shut down and I could not do locums, it gave me much more time to work on my consulting business. I have really enjoyed learning how to do YouTube videos like this one, social media posts, and I've worked with several students at various colleges to improve their resume to look like a professional looking CV. I have even taken the next step for the students to arrange interviews for them with potential employers that would be a good fit for their skill set and personality. These are challenging times, and any small issues become much bigger at times of stress, including money. Clinics, doctors, therapists and students are concerned about their finances. Some are in great shape with lots of cash reserves to use during this challenging time others have had to get loans or assistance to be able to keep going. Some people are struggling because they're using up their savings quickly or don't have any savings, which is causing a crisis. They have to make payment arrangements with vendors. We may have learned a good lesson to decide what matters and how we want to move forward with our finances. What have you learned?

Hello, it's Dr. Yurkiw here and welcome to today's practice minute. Today I want to talk about customer service. What makes one Clinic more successful than another are several factors, including customer service. Today I had fantastic customer service from American Express. The customer service rep on the phone could answer some of my questions but had to transfer me to another department to answer the others. She was having difficulty doing that but continued to check in on me and update me on how she was doing about every 20 to 30 seconds. Once she was successful, I told her I appreciated the answer she gave me and the accountability to keep me posted on the process and not leaving me on hold for too long. The way it made me feel was I was important to her and the company. I wanted to share this example with you so you can focus on customer service with your employees as they are a direct extension of you in your clinic.
