A young mom and aspiring influencer in Henderson, Nevada faked a pancreatic cancer diagnosis, convincing friends, family, and strangers to donate more than $20,000 to her GoFundMe. The scheme unraveled when victims grew suspicious, leading to a police investigation and text messages in which Haleigh Knight admitted she never had cancer and had also scammed them with fake travel deals. She has since pleaded guilty to felony theft, agreed to pay restitution, and now faces sentencing while remaining under court supervision. Law&Crime’s Sierra Gillespie has the details on this episode of Scandal.
