Welcome back to Ill-Gotten Games: I'm sorry that we had to have you back. It's not that we're not glad to see you, it's that if we're on this show, it means capitalism's at it again, being shitty to folks in the video game industry. This time, it's Telltale Games, or more specifically, its management, misusing and abusing its over two hundred employees in disgusting fashion. Join us as we break down just how cruelly that studio was run.
We're really not sure when there will be another one of these episodes: if we get mad at video game capitalism again, we'll be back!
The intro music for this episode is the main menu music from The Wolf Among Us by Telltale Games. The music is written and performed by Jared Emerson-Johnson.

For a long time now, folks have been craving a followup to the PS2 classic Spider-Man 2 that treated the traversal with the same spirit of joy and motion. Leave it to Insomniac Games, makers of Sunset Overdrive, to take up that particular torch with their 2018 release of Marvel's Spider-Man. And hey: the movement options are really good in this game. But, uh... the rest of the game is a thing too. How does it handle issues like law enforcement, fascism, environmentalism, homelessness, and... oh gosh. This is a lot of heavy stuff. They are gonna fumble the ball, huh? Well... yeah. Yeah, they are.
Join Jen and Six on this spoilercast as they tackle what the game gets right... and what it gets really uncomfortably wrong.
Much like our last podcast was a roundabout discussion of RWBY Volume 1, this episode is a roundabout sort of spoilercast. We actually try not to spoil very much? Six and Olivia talk in general terms about the five seasons of RWBY, their themes, and the progression of the development team as they find their legs making a story serially. We aim to preserve as much mystery as we can: we only spoil enough to entice, and to pitch the show generally. Or unpitch it? Gosh. It's not all champagne and caviar, I tell ya.

Let's go back to the beginning of the fairy tale. Neither Olivia nor Six are new to RWBY, the western CG anime about girls at a monster hunting school, but it's been such a long time since it started. What's it like to revisit the beginning of a show that started pretty... rough? Honestly, it's more interesting than we expected. This episode: RWBY Volume 1!

You can't leave a job half-finished. Six and Olivia are back to finish the caper with episodes 3, 4 and 5 of Lupin the Third Part V. Ami's backstory is revealed, Zenigata and Lupin team up, Lupin... dies? And then the show keeps GOING? Boy, this is a grip of episodes, my friends.
