The loss of his job, the burden of her having to pay their bills, and a long winter catalyze a desire to escape the growing disdain they have for their relationship. But when the other couple they planned to meet cancels, what they hoped would be a fun distraction turns into a terrifying nightmare from which there is nowhere to turn—but each other—if they want to survive what's been waiting for them.
