We dive into the scene in A New Hope to see Obi Wan talk to Luke about his father, The Force and the Clone Wars and that convenient little lie told, from 'a certain point of view.'

Was Kenobi justified in telling Luke just enough to keep him curious? Did he manipulate Luke into going with him to Alderaan and starting his Hero's Journey? Do you think it was handled correctly or do you think Obi-Wan went too far in his supposed deception? We break down the scene and examine the dialogue and body language and see how brilliantly Sir Alec Guiness' performance lent itself to the believability and implications this conversation had as a whole.

We find out something very interesting as we discuss, remember and reminisce.
