Scarif Scuttlebutt Podcast

A massive chocked full o goodness episode. Alex and Ro talk about D23 and all the cool things they are looking forward to. Am I talking in the third person? We're just so excited to share this. We asked how #StarWarsInspires you both professionally and personally and you guys came out in droves. We're splitting this topic up in two. Here is part one.

Besides D23, we've got clips from Amanda, Michelle, Todd and a whole bunch of you. Take a listen to all our inspirational followers. They're the true super stars in this episode.

Then if that weren't enough our headliner interview, we talk to Dominic Pace. Dominic tells us how his love of Star Wars grew in to a career choice allowing him to become an actor as well as give back to his community. Dominic also springs a surprise towards the end of the episode, you won't want to miss. Needless to say, he'll be back after Nov 12 to talk about his experience. (WINK WINK)

This one is chock full o goodness. We've got loads of contributors again. Thanks to friends like Oli K, Coruscant Radio Underground, Raul Mares and his Mares Report, Rob at the Jedi Temple Archives, Channel Star Wars, and more, Alex and Ro are talking Star Wars again. We tackle the experience of Vader Immortal, The Rise of Kylo Ren, and how JJ Abrams will 'melt your brain'. Don't miss it.

And our main topic deals with how the new films deal with being Force sensitive. Should it be delegated to a small group of Force users or can anyone be Force Sensitive? We'd love top hear your thoughts.

We've heard rumors and rumblings that Star Wars might be dead...but is it? Star Wars is as personal as religion and politics....hell, for some Star Wars IS religion and politics. Alex and Ro discuss how some fans interpret this notion with the help of Twitter followers comments as well as some personal ideas.

Plus, we announce our winners for the John Rodriguez original ATAT art, a wonderful water color print created by local Chicago artist.

Star Wars tech by Raul mares, we talk about new leadership at Lucasfilm and what that might mean for the franchise going forward, and more. And don't miss a new intro track produced by our friend and loyal follower Oli K and 'Jasper'.

Our second in our 'Legacy of' series, this time we teamed up with @Sci_Fictionary, "Coruscant Radio Underground to talk about the lasting impression Leia Organa has had on the fandom. Brad, Ro, Andrew and Maresha dive in to the deep meaning of this timeless character in the saga as well as explore how Carrie Fisher helped transform her. Princess Leia, never a damsel in distress, always the hero to look up to in any galaxy!

The trajectory of the character of Luke Skywalker has been debated by both fans, filmmakers and the actor himself, Mark Hamill. We take a deep dive into your thoughts and ours of how we perceive the Legacy of Luke Skywalker to be. We examine the acts of the great Jedi Knight in expanded universe material as well as the films and beyond.

In this third podcast episode we also announce winners of both of our two give-a-aways and talk about the new Star Wars comics out this week and the two novels by Cavan Scott and Claudia Gray respectively.
