Picture it: West Pittston, Pennsylvania, 1973. Janet and Jack Smurl move their family into a house on Chase Street. By the family’s accounts, what they experienced during their time living there was something out of your worst reveries. The paranormal activity was so insane that they called on Ed and Lorraine Warren to come investigate the home. However, there are doubts in people’s minds about this whole story. Find out why. Diving deep into one of the scariest legends. In this episode, we covered The Black Eyed Children. With multiple terrifying encounters, we decided to dive into a conversation about the lore and legend behind them, and theories surrounding what they could be or are. Megan retells an encounter story that happened quite close to our home of an encounter of the black-eyed children. Isaac tells about a Youtube content creator that actually aims to find evidence of this legend as well as a couple of encounters he has heard over the years. This is definitely one of the scarier episodes we have recorded but we definitely enjoyed diving deep into legend.

In Episode 32, Abby takes a deep dive into the world of haunted objects and tells the crew all about the dibbuk (dybbuk) box.
Surfacing online in a long 2003 Ebay listing was an antique wine box which was allegedly inhabited by a dibbuk, referenced in Jewish folklore as a restless spirit looking to possess a living person.
Kevin Mannis, the man who listed it on Ebay, described at length the ordeals he and his family had been through since acquiring the box and seemed to be desperate to get rid of it.
