  • SERMON | January 18, 2026 "The Generous Life: A Little Boy's Lunch"

"The Generous Life: A Little Boy's Lunch" 🍞🐟 Mark 6:30-44 | Stewardship SeriesIn this message, part of our "The Generous Life" stewardship series, we witness one of Jesus' most famous miracles—feeding 5,000 people with five loaves and two fish. The disciples saw a crowd and a problem: "Send them away to buy food." Jesus saw the same crowd with compassion: "You give them something to eat." When the disciples focused on what they lacked (200 denarii wouldn't be enough!), Jesus asked what they had. A little boy's lunch. Five small loaves. Two fish. Hardly enough for one person, let alone thousands. But when placed in Jesus' hands, scarcity became abundance—with twelve baskets of leftovers.🎯 Maybe you've been focused on what you lack instead of what you have...🎯 Maybe you think your small offering couldn't possibly make a difference...🎯 Maybe it's time to discover that God doesn't measure generosity by scarcity but by abundance.🗝️ Key Takeaways:✔️ Jesus sees people with compassion, not as problems to be solved.✔️ God doesn't call us to give what we don't have—but to bring what's in our hands and trust His abundance.✔️ Jesus doesn't give His grace sparingly—He lavishes it upon us with twelve baskets of leftovers!📖 Main Scripture:Mark 6:30-44 (Feeding of the 5,000)Ephesians 1:7-8 (The riches of His grace lavished upon us)#Stewardship #ChristianSermon #Feedingthe5000 #Mark6 #Generosity #ChristianFaith #SundaySermon #BiblicalStewardship #GodsAbundance #GenerousLiving

  • January 11, 2026 | The Generous Life The Widow's Mite

"The Generous Life: The Widow's Mite" 🪙 Mark 12:38-44 & 2 Corinthians 8:1-5 | Stewardship SeriesIn this message, part of our "The Generous Life" stewardship series, we meet a widow who gave two tiny copper coins worth 1/64 of a day's wages—everything she had to live on. The rich were dropping in large sums that clanked loudly down the metal offering boxes. Her coins were so light they hardly made a sound. She slipped away hoping no one noticed. But Jesus was watching. He called His disciples over and said, "This poor widow has put in more than all the others." How could two pennies be worth more than thousands? The widow's MITE (her coins) reveals her MIGHT (her faith).🎯 Maybe you've thought your gift is too small to make a difference...🎯 Maybe you've wondered if God really cares about what you give...🎯 Maybe it's time to discover that God measures generosity not by the amount, but by the trust.🗝️ Key Takeaways:✔️ The widow gave "all she had to live on"—demonstrating complete trust in God's provision.✔️ Christian giving comes from the inside out—moved by God's grace, not guilt or legalism.✔️ The Macedonian churches begged to give despite their own poverty—because they knew God's grace.📖 Main Scripture:Mark 12:38-44 (The Widow's Offering)2 Corinthians 8:1-5 (The grace of giving)#stewardship #ChristianSermon #WidowsMite #Mark12 #Generosity #ChristianFaith #SundaySermon #BiblicalStewardship #TrustInGod #generousliving

  • January 4, 2026. Worship Service 9:30 AM | "The Generous Life: Elijah and the Widow"

"The Generous Life: Elijah and the Widow" 🍞 1 Kings 17:1-16 | Stewardship SeriesIn this message, part of our "The Generous Life" stewardship series, we meet a widow preparing her last meal. She's down to a handful of flour and a little oil—just enough for one final meal for her and her son before they starve to death. Then a stranger shows up and asks for food. Not just water—bread too. The request is audacious. The promise seems impossible: "Share your last meal with me, and the jar will never be empty until the drought ends." What would you do? Give everything to your dying child, or trust a stranger's promise?🎯 Maybe you've chosen selfishness over generosity because you're afraid of what it might cost...🎯 Maybe you've chosen worry over faith when life feels like a drought...🎯 Maybe it's time to discover that God shows up when we trust Him with our last handful.🗝️ Key Takeaways:✔️ The widow had nothing—yet God chose her to demonstrate His power and provision.✔️ The jar was never overflowing, but it was never empty—God provides one day at a time.✔️ When we choose generosity over fear, we don't miss God showing up in our lives.📖 Main Scripture:1 Kings 17:1-16 (Elijah and the widow of Zarephath)Matthew 6:19-24 (You cannot serve God and money)#Stewardship #ChristianSermon #Generosity #1Kings17 #WidowOfZarephath #ChristianFaith #SundaySermon #BiblicalStewardship #TrustInGod #GenerousLiving----

  • SERMON | December 28, 2025 | "The Time Came" Luke 2:22-40

"The Time Came" 🕰️ Luke 2:22-40 | First Sunday after ChristmasIn this message for the First Sunday after Christmas, we explore what happened when Mary and Joseph brought baby Jesus to the temple. Simeon had been waiting his entire life—promised by the Holy Spirit that he wouldn't die before seeing the Lord's Christ. Anna had been worshiping, praying, and fasting for decades. Then the time came. When Simeon held Jesus in his arms, he said, "Lord, now you are letting your servant depart in peace... for my eyes have seen your salvation." But here's the question: Has the time of salvation come for YOU? Or are you still living like you need to fix yourself first?🎯 Maybe you're facing the New Year focused on resolutions—trying to fix what's broken...🎯 Maybe you're living like salvation hasn't come yet, like you still need to earn God's favor...🎯 Maybe it's time to discover that the time of salvation HAS come—and you can depart in peace.🗝️ Key Takeaways:✔️ Simeon and Anna had been waiting for "the consolation of Israel"—and the time finally came.✔️ We make New Year's resolutions because something is broken—but Christ has already fixed what matters most.✔️ Since we've seen the salvation of the Lord through faith, we can face the New Year in peace.📖 Main Scripture: Luke 2:22-40 (Simeon and Anna meet Jesus) Isaiah 40:1-5 (Comfort, comfort my people)#ChristianSermon #Luke2 #FirstSundayAfterChristmas #Simeon #NewYear #ChristianFaith #SundaySermon #Salvation #PeaceInChrist #NewYearsResolutions

  • December 21, 2025. Worship Service 9:30 AM | A Thrill of Hope: Fall on Your Knees

"A Thrill of Hope: Fall on Your Knees" | Luke 1:26-56 | Advent SeriesIn this message, part of our "A Thrill of Hope" Advent series, we experience the greatest announcement ever given—when the angel Gabriel appeared to Mary. Some news is so life-altering that it stops you in your tracks. You don't jump into problem-solving mode or make lists—you just stand there, wide-eyed and listening. Mary heard, "Greetings, O favored one, the Lord is with you!" But that greeting was terrifying. If the Lord is with us, He knows our sinfulness, our brokenness, our hidden thoughts. How could "the Lord is with you" possibly be good news?🎯 Maybe you've been rushing through Advent without pausing in wonder and awe...🎯 Maybe the phrase "the Lord is with you" feels more frightening than comforting...🎯 Maybe it's time to fall on your knees and hear the angel voices—you have found favor with God.🗝️ Key Takeaways:✔️ Mary's question "How will this be?" is faith, not doubt—she's listening with wonder.✔️ "The Lord is with you" is good news because God chose Mary (and us!) despite our brokenness.✔️ Mary's response teaches us to wait on Jesus: "Let it be to me according to your word."📖 Main Scripture:Luke 1:26-56 (The Annunciation and Mary's Magnificat)Luke 1:37 (Nothing will be impossible with God)#advent #ChristianSermon #OHolyNight #Luke1 #Annunciation #MaryMagnificat #Christmas #ChristianFaith #AdventSermon #FallOnYourKnees

  • SERMON | December 14, 2025. Worship Service 9:30 AM | A Thrill of Hope: A Weary World Rejoices

"A Thrill of Hope: A Weary World Rejoices" | Matthew 1:18-25 | Advent SeriesIn this message, part of our "A Thrill of Hope" Advent series, we experience dramatic irony—we know something Joseph doesn't. As readers, we know Mary's child is from the Holy Spirit, but Joseph? All he sees is a future falling apart and a situation that requires him to divorce Mary. Then the angel appears with the greatest news ever given: "That which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit... and they shall call his name Immanuel—God with us." What does it mean to live in a weary world with the thrill of this hope?🎯 Maybe you've been feeling weary—stretched thin, carrying burdens no one sees...🎯 Maybe like Joseph, you can't see what God is doing in the midst of your confusion...🎯 Maybe it's time to discover that hope didn't start when we felt hopeful—it started when God acted.🗝️ Key Takeaways:✔️ We can't figure out God's ways on our own—His salvation must be revealed to us.✔️ "Immanuel" means God is WITH us—bringing His saving power into our weariness.✔️ The thrill of hope is real because the God who saves has come, is with us, and will return!📖 Main Scripture:Matthew 1:18-25 (The birth of Jesus and Immanuel)Exodus 3:7-15 (God says "I will be with you")#Advent #ChristianSermon #Immanuel #Matthew1 #OHolyNight #Christmas #GodWithUs #ChristianFaith #AdventSermon #WearyWorld

  • SERMON | December 7, 2025 | "A Thrill of Hope: Chains Shall He Break"

"A Thrill of Hope: Chains Shall He Break" | Luke 1:5-80 | Advent SeriesIn this message, part of our "A Thrill of Hope" Advent series, we explore the powerful third verse of "O Holy Night"—"Chains shall he break, for the slave is our brother."

When the angel Gabriel visited Zechariah with impossible news, doubt silenced him for forty weeks. But when his tongue was finally loosed, he sang about freedom—God coming to deliver us from the chains that bind us.

What chains are holding you captive? Fear? Lies you believe about yourself? Guilt? And what does Zechariah's prophecy reveal about the One who came to break them?🎯 Maybe you've been held captive by chains of fear, doubt, or guilt...🎯 Maybe you believe lies about being unlovable or unworthy...🎯 Maybe it's time to discover that Jesus came to break every chain that binds you.🗝️ Key Takeaways:✔️ Jesus came to break ALL chains—sin, fear, lies, guilt, and death itself.✔️ Zechariah's song (the Benedictus) prophesied freedom for God's people through the Messiah.✔️ Like Ebenezer Scrooge, we all wear chains we've forged—but Christ came to set us free.📖 Main Scripture:Luke 1:5-80 (Zechariah, John the Baptist, and the Benedictus)Micah 5:2-5a (He shall be their peace)John 8:44 (The devil is the father of lies)#Advent #ChristianSermon #OHolyNight #Luke1 #Benedictus #Freedom #Christmas #ChristianFaith #AdventSermon #ChainsShallHeBreak

  • Sermon | November 30, 2025 | 1 Peter 1:3-9 and Luke 21:34-38 | A Thrill of Hope

"A Thrill of Hope: Living Hope" | 1 Peter 1:3-9 and Luke 21:34-38 | Advent SeriesIn this message, part of our "A Thrill of Hope" Advent series, we explore what it means to have a living hope in a world that feels increasingly hopeless. Like the people trapped in the City of Ember with their generator failing and food running out, we live in a fallen world between Christ's first coming and His return. But hope isn't just a wish or a dream—it's something sure and certain. What makes our hope "living"? And how do we hold onto hope when the trials come?🎯 Maybe you've been placing your hope in things that keep disappointing you...🎯 Maybe you're living in the darkness wondering if there's a way out...🎯 Maybe it's time to discover the hope that comes FROM the future—Jesus' resurrection.🗝️ Key Takeaways:✔️ Biblical hope isn't a wish—it's a certainty based on Jesus' death and resurrection.✔️ We have an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for us.✔️ Even in trials, God is refining our faith like gold tested by fire—there IS a way out of the darkness.📖 Main Scripture: 1 Peter 1:3-9 (A living hope through the resurrection) Luke 21:34-38 (Stay awake and pray)#Advent #ChristianSermon #LivingHope #1Peter #OHolyNight #Christmas #ChristianFaith #AdventSermon #HopeInChrist #BiblicalHope📖 Worship with us at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls:Thursday: 6:30 PM (Informal)Sunday: 8:00 AM (Traditional) | 9:30 AM (Blended) | 11:00 AM (Contemporary)----📌 About St. Paul Lutheran ChurchFounded in 1855, St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls, WI, has been a steadfast beacon of faith, service, and community for over 165 years. • Sermon | November 23, 2025 | Luke 12:13-21| The Endless Pursuit of More

"The Endless Pursuit of More: Money and Stuff" Luke 12:13-21 | In this message, part of our "The Endless Pursuit of More" series preparing us for Thanksgiving, we explore our relentless pursuit of "just one more." Just one more paycheck, one more purchase, one more zero in the bank account—then we'll finally have enough, right? Jesus tells the Parable of the Rich Fool whose barns were bursting, but that very night God said, "Fool! This night your soul is required of you." When does "just one more" become "enough"? And what happens when the beans finally spill?🎯 Maybe you've been telling yourself "just one more" will finally be enough...🎯 Maybe you've been stacking up possessions while anxiety grows heavier...🎯 Maybe it's time to discover what it means to be rich toward God.🗝️ Key Takeaways:✔️ "Just one more" never becomes "enough"—the pursuit is endless and leaves us anxious.✔️ Everything we have is God's gift, not ours—we're managers, not owners.✔️ Jesus poured out His life on the cross so we could stop the endless pursuit—"It is finished!"📖 Main Scripture:Luke 12:13-21 (The Parable of the Rich Fool)John 19:34 (Jesus poured out His life)#ChristianSermon #Thanksgiving #ParableOfTheRichFool #Luke12 #Materialism #ChristianFaith #SundaySermon #BiblicalTruth #Contentment #RichTowardGod----📌 About St. Paul Lutheran ChurchFounded in 1855, St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls, WI, has been a steadfast beacon of faith, service, and community for over 165 years. • Sermon | November 16, 2025. Worship Service. 9:30 AM | Romans 3:9-25a | The Endless Pursuit of More

"The Endless Pursuit of More: Perfection" Romans 3:9-25a & Luke 10:38-42 In this message, part of our "The Endless Pursuit of More" series preparing us for Thanksgiving, we explore our relentless pursuit of perfection. You work harder, do more, try to meet every expectation—but somehow it's never enough. The goalpost keeps moving. When Martha complained about her sister Mary just sitting at Jesus' feet while she did all the work, Jesus' response was shocking. What does true perfection look like? And who's really responsible for achieving it?🎯 Maybe you've been exhausting yourself trying to be perfect for everyone...🎯 Maybe you've been putting pressure on yourself or others to meet impossible standards...🎯 Maybe it's time to discover that Jesus has been perfect for you.🗝️ Key Takeaways:✔️ Perfectionism is an unattainable moving goalpost—we'll never reach it on our own.✔️ God doesn't demand perfection through our actions, but perfect love through faith in Christ.✔️ Mary chose the "good portion"—sitting at Jesus' feet matters more than endless striving.📖 Main Scripture:Romans 3:19-24 (All have sinned and fall short)Luke 10:38-42 (Mary and Martha)Matthew 5:48 (Be perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect)#ChristianSermon #Thanksgiving #Perfectionism #Romans3 #MaryAndMartha #ChristianFaith #SundaySermon #BiblicalTruth #FaithOverWorks #GraceAlone📖 Worship with us at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls:Thursday: 6:30 PM (Informal)Sunday: 8:00 AM (Traditional) | 9:30 AM (Blended) | 11:00 AM (Contemporary)
