  • Sermon - Exodus: The Calf | Exodus 32:1–10 | The Golden Calf

The Golden Calf | Exodus 32:1–10When the people of Israel grew impatient with Moses, they turned from the living God to worship an idol made of gold. This was more than impatience — it was rebellion, ingratitude, and unbelief. We, too, can be quick to trust our own works, desires, or false “saviors” when God seems silent or slow to act.Yet even in the face of such sin, God’s mercy in Christ is greater. The One who should consume us in righteous anger instead bore that judgment Himself on the cross, turning away wrath and reconciling us to the Father.💬 What “golden calves” are tempting you today?📢 Share this message with someone who needs to be reminded of God’s patience and mercy.Worship with Us:Sunday: 8:00 a.m. (Traditional) | 9:30 a.m. (Contemporary)Thursday: 6:30 p.m. (Informal)🌐 Visit Our Website📖 Find Us on FacebookWe are a congregation of the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod. • Sermon - Exodus: The Presence | Exodus 25:10–22 | The Ark of the Covenant

    Exodus: The Presence

Exodus 25:10–22 | The Ark of the Covenant

What does it mean that God dwells with His people? In this message, we turn to the Ark of the Covenant—the place where God's presence rested in Israel's midst. Constructed by God's own command and covered in mercy, the Ark was more than just a sacred object; it was a powerful sign pointing ahead to Christ.

Here, in the Most Holy Place, the Lord met with His people not in wrath, but in mercy. Today, that presence is not confined to a golden box but is given through Word and Sacrament—wherever Christ is proclaimed, and His gifts are received.

    Takeaways:

God's presence is not abstract—it is real, personal, and gracious.

The Ark foreshadows Jesus, our true Mercy Seat.

In the Church, Christ still meets us with forgiveness and life.

  • Sermon: Exodus: The Commandments | Exodus 20:1–21

Exodus: The Commandments | Exodus 20:1–21

What do the Ten Commandments really mean for us today?

God doesn’t give His Law to restrict us—but to reveal His will, reflect His holiness, and point us to our need for a Savior. In Exodus 20, God speaks directly to His people, carving His commandments into history. Yet even as the mountain trembles, God's ultimate plan is not fear—but grace.

    🔑 Key Takeaways:

    • The Law reveals God’s holiness and our need for Christ

    • The commandments show us how to love God and our neighbor

    • Jesus fulfills the Law—and forgives our failure to keep it

  • Sermon: Exodus: The Water | Exodus 17:1–7 | Water from the Rock

    Exodus: The Water

Exodus 17:1–7 | Water from the Rock

The people thirsted—and they grumbled. Though God had delivered them through the sea and fed them with bread from heaven, still they doubted His presence. “Is the Lord among us or not?” they cried. In mercy, God answered—not with wrath, but with water from the rock. So too today, He meets our doubting hearts with living water in Christ, who was struck for our sake and now quenches our deepest thirst.

  • Sermon: Exodus: The Provision | Exodus 16:2–12 | Bread from Heaven

Exodus: The Provision | Exodus 16:2–12 | Bread from Heaven

Even after all they had seen—parting seas, God’s mighty hand, freedom from slavery—the people of Israel grumbled. In the wilderness, they hungered… and the Lord answered with bread from heaven.

God’s response to complaint was not wrath, but mercy. He heard the grumbling of His people and provided manna—not because they deserved it, but because He is faithful. This “bread from heaven” pointed forward to the greater Bread: Christ, who gives His own body for the life of the world.

We often grumble in our own wilderness seasons, forgetting how the Lord has provided in the past. Yet even still, He comes to us—through His Word and Sacrament—with grace for each day.

What wilderness are you walking through? Share your reflections in the comments—and encourage someone else who might be hungry for hope.
