If you had the courage to listen to "Funny Face" last week, then you know it's been a rough week for Ian.
We are taking the week off in respect for Stan.
This is titled, "Acceptance and Peace", and is part of Ian's healing process.
Long-time listeners know how much we loved Stan, and he was big part of Ian's life and the show. He is already greatly missed by all the humans he touched. He had a genuine impact on so many people with his infectiously happy spirit, his total love for life and living, and his fearless and pure friendliness towards everyone he met. He was the embodiment of kindness and love.
Thank you ALL for the outpouring of kindness and condolences Ian has received. It has meant a lot to know how many true friends are out there, and how much you all care.
We will be back next week with a new and fun and uplifting show. We really hope we didn't lose you with the downer week. Ian promises he'll stop loving shit!
Ian's unfiltered, heartbreaking poem for Stanley, "Funny Face". ( 12/1/2008 - 10/28/2021 ).
I will always love you. We will always be together. I am living in the day I feared the most. The day you weren't at my feet, looking up at me. Our love for each other was infinite and total. I am inconsolable with grief. Thank you for being my friend, Bubba. I'll be there soon.
Welcome to Scatterbrain Podcast Episode 85! Thank you for listening and for your ongoing support.
This week's episode is the final installment of our Halloween 2021 series. So far, we've talked about vampires & Vlad Dracula. This week, we talk about werewolves. How does one become a werewolf? How does one kill a werewolf? You probably think you know, but listen, and you may be surprised.
We are also joined by a surprise guest near the end. Who could it be? The ghost in Ian's house doesn't count.
If you can't get enough Halloween goodness, check out our Halloween 2020 episodes (Ep 37 - Priestly Halloween and Ep 38 - Edgar Allan Poe)
Happy Halloween Scatterbrains - see you on the flip side.

Welcome to Scatterbrain Podcast: Vlad! In honor of one of the many Vlads that we love. No, not Putin ( sexy bitch that he is ), but The Impaler himself! He always STUCK it to his enemies. I would STAKE my life that this is great episode. I think you WOOD agree after sticking it through to the end. Ok, I'll stop.
Halloween special number 2 of 4 for our favorite time of the year! The air is getting colder, the Moon is full and bright, and frankly my deep pockets are currently filled with pecans! Long story.
Thanks to all who listen, and to those who won't: burn in hell! This is a fun and interesting podcast! WTF? Seriously, we really do appreciate your loyalty and time. Available on Spotify, Apple, Google, Instagram, Twitter, Pocket-Cast, iHeartRadio, Stone Tablets, Ancient Dead Sea Scrolls, insideyourmomspanties.com, or wherever you would just look if you weren't so damn lazy! It's music, comedy, and interestingly weird topics! What's not to love?
First we banter a touch. Then we review the new EP "Upgrade" from Danish thrashers Demolizer. Then we put the bloody cherry on top and talk about the Wallachian Voivode, Vlad The Impaler. Also known as Vlad Dracula. His full name was simply: Vlad III, and he is a national hero of Romania to this day. Was he really so bad? Was he really the inspiration for Bram Stoker's "Dracula"? Does Ian really store shelled nuts in his pant pockets? Listen to find out!

Welcome to Scatterbrain Podcast Episode 82: The Voronezh Encounter.
Thanks to all who have remained loyal listeners over the last year and a half, and welcome to all the new Scatterbrains out there. We consider you all friends, and hope you consider us friends as well. Please tell your family and friends and co-workers about us. We really appreciate it. We do this for you. You make it worth the hard work we put in.
We are available on Spotify, Apple, iHeartRadio, and all major platforms where you get your podcasts. You can also find us on Instagram and Twitter, or contact us at [email protected]. We would love to hear from you!
This week we review the new album "Torn Arteries", from a band that has been around a LONG time, Carcass. (https://www.nuclearblast.com/en/company/history/2013.html).
Then we delve into an obscure UFO event in The Soviet Union from 1989, The Voronezh Encounter. Did a group of kids really come in contact with robot beings from another solar system/galaxy/dimension? Or was it all just a well-crafted lie to get attention? Could so many people really collaborate to lie about this, and stick to their story to this day? And if so, to what end? Listen to find out what the Scatterbrains think.
And then finally, another installment of "My Best Friend Satan" to end the episode with style. You're welcome.
Short Fuse: Entry 1 - Rage-Date: 08302021.
Mini-episodes of venting with brutal honesty brought to you by your beloved Scatterbrains... mostly Ian, actually, since he is the one with the giant vein popping out of his forehead most of the time.
If hearing someone lose his shit over what pisses him off of late makes you feel better about your life, then this is the quick-hitting tirade of cursing and unfiltered honesty you need. Enjoy the anger and sheer frustration, then sit back and smile to yourself that your life is actually not that bad. Then give yourself a hand for how fucking centered you are. Congratulations cupcake, you didn't have a meltdown this week.
I don't have anger issues. When something or someone pisses me off, I get angry. Not an issue.
