This week we are joined by Marianne from Death Is Everything Podcast (@D.I.E._cast) to talk about something near and dear to our hearts: Zombies.

First, we go a bit back in time to the 2019 release "Tropical Sun" by Italian death metal band, Fulci. This zombie-themed concept album not only ties in nicely with the rest of the episode, but also gives us a chance to hear a non-metalhead opinion of some extreme music. What does Marianne make of this album? What do your faithful Scatterbrains think?  Listen to find out - you might be surprised.

Next, we talk about zombies and the distinction between the modern flesh-eating zombie and the Haitian Vodou zombie. We also learn about some of the great tricks used by special effects artists to depict the gruesome scenes in zombie film and TV.

Without the combustion engine, for example, things would be very different today. If disruptive enough, the "Powers that Be" may go to great lengths to suppress new discoveries and technology.
