Ten years ago, the Scottsboro Boys Museum and Cultural Center opened in Alabama. The museum remembers the nine black teenagers wrongfully convicted of raping two white women while traveling through Jackson County, Alabama by train in 1931.

“The Six-Triple-Eight” is an award-winning documentary that tells the story of the only all-black female unit to serve overseas during World War II. The women of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion trained at Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia before shipping out in February 1945 to serve in Birmingham, England - and Paris.
