Kelvin Boyd works for EPB here in Chattanooga. He was hired as a fiber optic technician - one of the first to install fiber in this city. Now, he’s on the marketing side - and for the past few years in the Hamilton County Schools, he has been known as Professor Gig-A-Watt, giving presentations to thousands of students before the pandemic hit.

Twenty-five years ago, the Olympics came to Southeast Tennessee. In 1996, the Ocoee River hosted the whitewater slalom competition for the Summer Olympics in Atlanta. The Ocoee Whitewater Center was built for the occasion - and stands to this day.

For many years now, Roger - a professional singer - has made his home in Savannah, Georgia - from his work as a founding member of the Savannah Children’s Choir and the Savannah Classical Academy to his latest endeavor: the Savannah Exploratory Charter Academy, a charter school.
