Matt Lane began his fitness career as a professional powerlifter and personal trainer in the heart of York, PA, the home of York Barbell. He established House of Gains with the aim of providing the lifting community with trusted, high-quality products.

Starting with selling pre-workout products out of his old, beat-up Subaru at the age of 22, Matt has since transformed his passion into a successful brand. House of Gains now boasts two physical store locations in South Central Pennsylvania, along with numerous wholesale accounts and sales in over a dozen countries worldwide.

Lane recounts the difficulties he faced growing up but emphasizes how determination and discovering his passion allowed him to craft his own playbook to success.

Back by popular demand, Paul Sr. returns to Schiffbauer Over Rocks fresh off his Ian Bick Locked In podcast appearance. Him and Paul Jr. talk about that experience, more gangster stories, like the time Paul Sr. ran into some guys that looked like they were pulled off the Sopranos, as well as old bar tales from his days as the owner of the Curb Shoppe.

After a stint in the U.S. Army, Paul Sr. became intimate with knowledge of these sorts of activities during his time as an associate for an illegal gambling operation centered around video poker machines under the guise of “Amusement Only” from 1990-96 in Baltimore, Maryland. After a deal gone bad, he fled the business and went legit. He ran a neighborhood bar for over 20 years in Charm City and went on to write his debut novel Amusement Only loosely based on his life behind bars with writing cohort, Harford Hopson.
