In today’s episode, 9 sat down with the incredible Keertana — a talented writer, artist, filmmaker, and English teacher. Keertana’s journey is nothing short of remarkable. At just 15 years old, she found herself attending the Toronto Film Festival, navigating a world typically reserved for much older creators — even entering the event registered as a 35-year-old white man!
Beyond filmmaking, Keertana also runs her own magazine, showcasing her creative voice and leadership. Despite facing challenges such as memory loss, her resilience and brilliance continue to shine through every project she touches.
Keertana is truly a bright young star with a future full of possibilities.
I pray that her story inspires you as deeply as it inspired me.

Guest: Ish from The Joe Budden Podcas
This week on Schitt Ain’t The Same, I’m joined by none other than Ish from The Joe Budden Podcast—and we’re diving into a real one.
We’re talking investing, relationships, and what it looks like when men drop the surface talk and actually open up. Ish brings that grown-man energy and thoughtful perspective that always makes for a dope convo.
We get into:
• How women view financial security vs. financial freedom
• Dating while building wealth (and peace)
• How is he your man , and you haven’t seen how he lives
• The evolving expectations in modern relationships
• And a few gems you probably weren’t ready for
It’s unfiltered, insightful, and full of those moments where you pause and go, “Damn… that’s facts.”

It’s always a pleasure talking to Taliah Karim about Real Estate.
Whether it’s the right time for you to buy a house depends on a few key factors:
1. Your Financial Readiness
• Emergency Savings:
• Debt-to-Income Ratio (DTI)
2. Your Credit Score (700)
3. Market Conditions
• Interest Rates:
• Housing Prices
4. Your Personal Situation
• Do you plan to stay in the home
If you’re set on buying soon, you might consider:
• Looking into first-time homebuyer programs (some offer down payment assistance).
• Exploring FHA or other low-down-payment loan options.
• Continuing to save while monitoring the market for better conditions.

I pray that this episode help women to understand you are not alone !! This happens to more women than we care to admit, most of us just don’t share because of embarrassment. I want to say ,this guy has FUCKED WITH THE WRONG BITCH !! (@JenniferLewis)
It is deeply disheartening to acknowledge that even in 2025, financial exploitation within relationships remains a significant concern. Research indicates that between 94% and 99% of women in abusive relationships have experienced some form of financial abuse. A survey found that nearly 22% of individuals have experienced financial abuse in a past relationship . Men are more likely than women to commit financial deception, with 47% of men admitting to such behavior compared to 39% of women . These statistics highlight the pervasive issue of financial exploitation in relationships, underscoring the need for increased awareness and preventive measures.
Make sure you take note of the strategy listed at the end ! It will save you a lot of money and heartache

As a parent we are always thinking about how much influence kids should have over big life decisions, like going to college or choosing a career. It’s definitely important to listen to them—kids often have a strong sense of what excites or motivates them. But it can be tricky balancing their passions with practical advice about the future.
