It is the week of Christmas. So I thought instead of doing something educational or motivational, I would have a little bit of fun lighten up and talk about the best Christmas songs of all time. Final thoughts on goals, you need a partner, an accountability partner. Someone to say, how are you doing? Oh wait, You're not doing very well. You need to be more active. You need someone that can actually hold you to account and you need to do a goal for each part of your life. You need to have a religious goal, a financial goal, a physical goal, a family goal, and entertainment goal, every part of your life, needs a goal, and that will make a great 2025.

One of the reasons that resolutions don't work is because they don't have a very specific end date goals. On the other hand, do my goal is to lose 15 pounds in the next six months, by July 1st. I hope to weigh 15 pounds less, no, I will weigh 15 pounds less, that's what a goal is. And because of that date at the end, you are less likely to be lackadaisical and lazy set some goals everyone.

Resolutions do not work because they are not measurable. A resolution sounds like I'm gonna lose weight in 2025. A goal sounds like I'm going to lose 15 pounds in the next six months that has a much greater likelihood to succeed. Because you have a measurable specific achievement that you have noted set. Something very specific that you can measure.

Resolutions are your declaration of a permanent change, but a goal because it is more specific, has a particular achievement attached to it. Not I am going to lose weight in 2025 but I'm going to lose 15 pounds in the next year, that is much more specific because the achievement the goal is actually stated you're much, more likely to succeed if you put a number on it and make the achievement the focus.

It's the week before Christmas, The last week that most people are working before a long holiday for Christmas and New Year. I hope you're having a great holiday season. So, this is the last real week that people are thinking and being serious. I wanted to vote this week to goals versus resolutions. I know you have to make some resolutions for New Year. It's the tradition or you should make some goals.

Today, there are actually huge differences between goals and resolutions. A resolution is, I want to lose weight in 2025. A goal is I'm going to lose 15 pounds in the next six months. Very, very different goals. Are specific and resolutions are vague and useless. Make a goal, not a resolution and you'll be much more successful.
