In honor of #MentalhealthAwarenessmonth my guest Alexis De La Cruz-Goodwin is a school social worker in a Rural district in South Carolina. She is an MSW graduate from Fordham University and NYC Native.  She discusses the struggles she sees with the students she works with.  She also talks about the struggles of being a Latina in a Rural area, the difficulty finding resources for clients and the importance of #SEL (Social emotional learning) for students especially for next school year.
