  • How to Be Friends with White Women

On this week’s episode we talk making friends with women of other races. When it comes to making friends we often gravitate to people who have shared experiences and are from similar backgrounds and communities as ours. With re segregation & with tensions in this country being at an all time high, it can be hard to foster meaningful relationships with women of different races. Listen as Marcy & Ashley talk their experiences with white women over the years, things that have made these relationships challenging and why fostering meaningful with all women is important to us

  • Is "No" Your Final Answer

On this week’s episode, we talk rejection, perseverance, and goals. When it comes to dating and relationships, “no means no,” but when it comes to pursuing our dreams, hearing “no,” may just mean that we need to find an alternate path. Once we build up the confidence to make an ask or to set a plan in motion, we can’t allow refusal or negative opinion to defeat us. Listen to this week’s episode as Ashley and Marcy discuss pushing past rejection, what workarounds they’ve taken in life to get what they want, and why “no” is rarely the final answer.

  • Passing Judgement
On this week’s episode, we talk judging others. Consider what you think when you see a woman with a child acting out in public—screaming, crying, throwing a literal fit. “How can she let him behave that way?” “Why can’t she control her?” or “I would never let happen because I’d…” This isn’t helpful, sis; this is judgement. We all have a natural inclination to watch and judge others, but being critical, particularly of other women, doesn’t provide space for the supportive and encouraging environment that we all need to thrive. Listen as Ashley and Marcy discuss how they themselves have been judged, how they combat judging others, and how to break the bad habit of judging altogether.
