Saturday was the first in our live recorded web episodes of Sci-Fi Saturday Night. Due to the live nature of these recordings I’m dubbing them “talkcast” rather than “podcast”. From here on in “podcast” will refer to something that we’ve taped without streaming, a back issue of Sci-Fi Saturday Night if you will.
Hi and welcome to the brand new Sci Fi Saturday night website! To celebrate our grand re-opening and the defeat of the Cybermen, the Dome has perused his super secret collection and pulled out a rare celebrity interview. This 2005 interview with Jon Ronson concerned his book The Men Who Stare at Goats. Alternately creepy and hilarious, this book is the story of a super-secret branch of The US Military which attempt all kinds of paranormal experiments. From “remote viewing” and walking through walls to literally staring goats to death. The book is somtimes impossible to believe and other times just plain scary. We spoke with Jon from his flat outside London, where he resides.http://www.scifico.org/sfsn/podcast/Podcast7.mp3
