November 26, 2022Science vs. Conspiracy ask the question, was the Zapruder Film a FakeShow NotesWhenever the subject of conspiracy theories comes up in conversations, oftentimes it's either, so you believe in aliens or who killed JFK? This week marked the 58 anniversary, and from what I could see, the anniversary went pretty much unnoticed. The assassination of John Fitzgerald Kennedy on November 22, 1963 has stirred the emotions of the world for 58 years. Both conspiracy theorists and scalars have debating the events of that fateful day in Dallas with no clear conclusion. Over the course of time there are a few pieces of evidence that have become staples in the ongoing search for the truth. The Zapruder film is one such example. This remarkable piece of footage is regarded as the best witness of the moments leading up to and of the assassination. But how accurate is it? It is here where we begin this week's episode of Science vs Conspiracy.Brew some coffee, pull up a chair and open your mind. This week on Science vs Conspiracy we will look at: Was the Zapruder film a fake over coffee. This is a public episode. November 19, 2022A Journey Through the Simulation Theory - Time TravelShow NotesThis video will explore the fascinating and complex topic of Simulation Theory and Time Travel. We'll take an in-depth look at what simulation theory is, how it works, and how it relates to time travel. We'll also discuss examples of how this theory has been used in science fiction and how it might give us insight into the real world. We'll answer questions like: What implications does this have for the future? Does time travel exist? What are the possible alternate realities? Are we living in a simulation? Finally, we'll explore the concept of multiple timelines and the fascinating possibilities of time travel. This is a public episode. November 11, 2022Understanding the Noise of the Universe. Are there Hidden Messages in the Static?Understanding the Noise of the Universe. Are there Hidden Messages in the Static? This week on Science vs. Conspiracy: we will try to understand the noise of the universe and if there is a hidden message in the static, over coffee. There was 1 signal in particular that got the attention of astronomers on August 15, 1977. What is now referred to as the WOW signal, a strong narrowband radio signal was detected by Ohio State University’s Big Ear Radio Telescope. The signal was observed for a full 72 seconds. 72 seconds is the amount of time the radio telescope is pointed in any direction because of the Earth’s rotation. The signal was captured at the frequency shared by hydrogen of 1420.3556 MHz. Which makes this frequency ideal for transmitting information because hydrogen atoms are common throughout the galaxy. But it was unlike any other signal detected prior to or since. The signal apparently originated from the constellation of Sagittarius. The closest known star is Tau Sagittarii. Roughly 122 Light years away. The signature of the narrowband signal starts off low then gradually reaches its peak 36 seconds in before slowly back down for the remainder of the 72 seconds. The signal was detected this way because of the design of the telescope and how it observers the sky with the Earth's rotation. This is a public episode. October 22, 2022Science & Conspiracy go in search of the Menehune over coffeeScience & Conspiracy go in search of the Menehune over coffeeBrew some coffee, pull up a chair and open your mind. This week Science vs. Conspiracy traveled to Hawaii in search of the Menehune over coffee.Long before the first Polynesia settlers crossed the ocean from Hiva Oa to the Hawaiian islands between 1000-1200 CE, there lived a group of small yet resourceful people that roamed among the lush Hawaiian forests. Locals called them the Menehune, the Tahitian word menehune meaning commoner, or small in social standing, not in physical size. Legend has it that they were about 2 to 3 feet tall with some only reaching 6 inches in height. Small enough to fit in the palm of your hand. They lived hidden away and rarely seen by humans. Roaming in the forests and valleys mostly at night. October 14, 2022Would we have Free Will Inside a Simulation?Over the past couple of weeks on the show I’ve gone down the rabbit hole of simulation theory. The more I look at it, the stranger it becomes. We start to see 2 separate theories emerge that open up new questions for both. The first is simulation theory. Described as living in a computer generated program that is running to simulate a situation or an event. The other is we are living in a computer generated world but not part of a simulation. Everything around us is at its foundation a mathematical equation written using some sort of computer code that governs every part of our existence. But if either of these scenarios are true would we have free will? How would free will work inside software? This is a public episode. October 07, 2022If SIMULATION THEORY Is True, Would It Change Anything? If SIMULATION THEORY Is True, Would It Change Anything? When we say the name PONG, it instantly brings up images of a black screen, 2 white lines, and a bouncing ball. Back in 1972 this was revolutionary. The technology needed to interact with the images on the screen was mind bending. Yet by today's standards it is very primitive. While researching for the show, I was curious to see how many lines of code it took to program PONG. The answer surprised me.Brew some coffee, pull up a chair, and open your mind. This week Science vs. Conspiracy will be discussing, not PONG but the mathematics and brain power needed to create a simulated reality over coffee. This is a public episode.
