SciFi4Me: Live From the Bunker

Today, we're talking with Bill Curtis and Chris Porter, the creators behind the audio drama SOLAR. Set in 2045, the story follows a doomed space flight, with astronauts stranded too close to the sun after a massive solar flare event damages their spacecraft and causes disaster back on Earth.
SOLAR stars Helen Hunt, Alan Cumming, Stephanie Beatriz, and Jonathan Bangs

Today: no real topics to speak of, mainly because we want to wait until we have a panel to discuss those things that need to be discussed -- such as Elon vs. Twitter, Disney's comeuppance, and other things in the news.
Meantime, we'll just go through a grab bag of random things and make the most of the hour.

Well, he did it. As expected -- maybe earlier than expected -- Elon Musk has made a bid to buy Twitter outright. It's a hostile takeover at this point, and of course Twitter is blowing up this morning.  Is Elon Musk a free speech hero? Or is Elon Musk is a Bond villain on the make? Is Twitter important enough as a communications platform that it needs to be completely unfettered with no concern about profit?

The Walt Disney Company has decided to go all-in for the battle against Governor Ron DeSantis and the Florida legislature, and it looks like that decision -- and who made it? -- may have some unintended and unexpected consequences.
On Thursday, we looked at the PR angle to all of this. Today, we take a look at the financial hit this could mean for Disney. And with Amazon and WarnerDiscovery hot on their heels, it could get very interesting very quickly.
Plus: Elon Musk saves Twitter! Or does he seek to destroy it from within? Buying a stake in the social media company is sure to have consequences.
