We don't chat to a lot of pro golfers at The Tie, but when a pro golfer is also essentially a professional cross fitter, we get fired up.
Scott made a massive personal transformation 6 or so years ago from an out of shape pro golfer to now being probably the most fit player on tour. He decided to get into CrossFit to improve his cardio, strength, and flexibility and the rest is history. Scott now trains regularly with some of the best cross fitters in the world and is now extending his training regiment to everyone through his new training platform HWPO Golf (HWPO: hard work pays off).
In this episode we talk not only about golf and training, but most importantly the intersection between the two from both a mental and physical standpoint. How he sets up work outs to improve his mental resilience as well as physical strength and durability. It's cool to see someone who is likely past the midpoint of his career playing some of his best golf and getting longer off the tee every year.
This is a great episode for someone who is trying to improve their mental and or physical performance as a golfer, is into working out, or just a fan of Scott in general.
