After two episodes in the Pearl Islands, Scott has started to have a strong tribe preference. We explore why that is, while Rupert explores the ocean for some precious lost treasure.

Survivor: Pearl Islands gets off to a fast start in the premiere, with the contestants heading to a local market in order to get all the materials they will need for the rest of the game. One tribe is much more together during this surprise challenge, while the other is frantic. Their lack of unity is on full display throughout the episode.

At the end, Scott will make his initial winner pick for the season!

The game takes a back seat when the Jacaré camp experiences a significant fire, burning the shelter and most of the remaining contestants' belongings. We put on our firefighter hats and give our thoughts about how this happened and its potential impact on the next vote. In the strategy department, Matthew reveals that he is not sure yet whom he would prefer to bring to the end between Rob and Butch.

After Alex was voted out, Jenna and Heidi are fed up with Rob and will never forgive him. Their animosity seems short-lived after a fun evening of drinking, but it returns the next day when Rob discusses a new potential final two deal with Jenna.
