Celebrating Valentines Day we look at some keys to a lasting love relationship between a husband and wife with relationship building skills that extend to every relationship.

The Brides preparation is to clothe herself in righteousness and to guard her purity. Clothing herself in righteousness is to become a doer -- righteous acts, living righteously in this life. Some would claim that this is works, but the context of the New Testament writings reveal the following formula: WORKS = RELIGIOUS ACTIVITY - OBEDIENCE. In essence, faith and obedience are inseparable.

The Bride participates in the process of preparing herself — actively engaged in purifying her heart.

The Bride is called upon to make herself ready clothing herself in fine linen which is the righteous acts of the saints. Our hope is to be included in that company called the Bride. How do I prepare myself for that wedding ceremony.

The Bride is portrayed by the Apostle John as the new Jerusalem coming down out of heaven. The Bride represents the faithful followers of Jesus Christ (from the Old Covenant through the New Covenant). It is the spiritual house that is being built up out of living stones -- a fulfillment of O.T. prophecy, that can be traced throughout the Old and New Testament.

In this message we further contrast the vision of the Bride and the revelation of the Harlot/Babylon from the Old Testament tied to Johns Revelation.

In this third message we look at the Bride -- weddings are ALL about the Bride and in Revelation chapter 20, John is shown this magnificent Bride.

The Apostle John, in the latter years of his life and in exile on the island of Patmos, receives a revelation of Jesus Christ, a revelation of His Kingdom, a revelation of the victory He purchased for His people, and a revelation of Heaven. He begins with His encounter with Christ and seven letters to seven churches.

The Apostle Paul recognized the significance of the physical realm as God’s Creation and the existence of all things created by Him and for Him. He also lived in the heavenly realm and encourages us to join with Christ in that reality.

The Thanksgiving holiday has an incredible heritage in American history. This morning we look at some of that history and the biblical basis for a life of thanks giving.
