The word “pursue” is an interesting word that implies intentionality, focus, and diligence. It is impossible to be apathetic in pursuit of something; one does not casually pursue something. No! Pursuit implies an intensely focused and active quest.

This morning, and every Sunday morning, we gather to celebrate freedom – every Sunday we celebrate our freedom in Christ Jesus, and today, in addition, we celebrate our freedom as Americans.

One of the keys to successfully passing the torch of faith to the next generation is the telling of the stories of Gods interactions, His miracles, His mighty acts in behalf of His people. Are we telling our story?

An angel of the Lord appears before Gideon and says that the Lord is with them. Gideon asks two questions: 1) If the Lord is with us, then why has all this happened? 2) and where are all His miracles? Questions that we must ponder!

Be courageous and do not fear! The Lord will fight for you! Those are the words of encouragement to the people of God and are words for us today. Do not fear. Do not give up. Step up and see the salvation, the deliverance, the provision, the protection of our God!

This is the third message in the series and is a challenge to engage ourselves in faith-building activity.
