Scott Wheeler's Airplay

Rick Stephenson is my “partner in crime” working the morning show on SuperHits WIRL. He’s a veteran of the radio industry working in Oakland, Minneapolis, Albuquerque, Shreveport, Phoenix, and now Peoria.

Today on “Scott Wheeler’s Airplay," we talk with Jamie Markley...a guy who went from “rockin’ with the best” on Rock 106 back in the day to now “talkin’ with the best” on the nationally syndicated “Markley & Van Camp Show heard locally on 1470 and 100.3 WMBD. Despite his success, his humility and groundedness are what shine through in every conversation I have with him.

He’s got an unmistakable voice and style that makes him one of Peoria’s most beloved radio personalities. And when you meet him, he’s just as genuine and likeable as he sounds on the air. I think we have his Central Illinois upbringing to thank for that. Mike Stechman of 93.3 The Drive and 104.9 The Wolf is my guest today.

CJ from the Afternoon Show on Mix 106.9. Today we talk with CJ, a busy working mom, a pet adoption advocate, and helps make many of the radio stations you listen to sound so good (hint: it’s not just the one you hear her on). We go behind the microphone to get to know Peoria radio’s CJ

Most of us know Bob Larson as the longtime news anchor on WMBD TV 31. But did you know Bob actually started at 1470 WMBD before moving to television as a weatherman and then to anchor? We talk to Bob about this almost unheard of path to the news desk...and about what he’s doing these days in retirement.

We're talking with John Riley & Nancy Flagg from 93.3 The Drive on Scott Wheeler's Airplay. One of the top-rated morning shows in the Peoria market let's us behind the microphone to let us know a little bit more about themselves.
