This week I'm talking with painter Matthew Miller.  Matthew was one of the first artists I met in NYC when I moved there for the summer of 2008 before starting my last year of grad school. I was instantly draw to the high quality of Matthew’s work, having never seen anyone paint in this style. It's was great to meet up with Matthew at his studio and see what he's been working on and discuss where he sees his work heading with the new series he's been focusing on.

This week I’m talking with artist Wizard Skull. From paintings to wheat pastes, vinyl toys, skateboard designs and zines Wizard Skull has done it all. It was great to meet at his art studio to discuss his roots and see what he’s been working on.

This week I’m speaking with toy designer, illustrator and sticker artist MCA of evil designs. I’ve know about MCA’s work for a number of years but this was the first time we met in person. I was excited to run around the streets with him on his recent trip to NYC and talk about what he’s learned over the years in the vinyl toy and sticker worlds.

This week I’m talking with artist and actual Doctor, Dr. Scott. I met Dr. Scott back in 2017 on one of his trips to NYC. Over the years we’ve collaborated on a number of pieces and even traveled to Europe together. It was great catching up with him on his trip here last week and having him paint the 2nd ave mural wall. Make sure to stop by and see his piece which is up for the month of august.

This week I'm talking to Koz from Silver Tuna Studios and LULU from collect with LULU. After representing artists on their own they are joining forces with their new gallery KXL projects. I wanted to talk to them about how they got together, their projects at City Point and Brooklyn Art Haus in Brooklyn and what it's like working with many artists in the under-represented community of graffiti and street art.

This week I'm speaking with Bonafide Warhawk and Aman of Hard Knox Astoria. This is a story of overcoming adversity, finding your path in life and defying all odds.  Bonafide is the sensei at Hard Knox and was left legally blind after a stabbing at the age of 13. I was lucky enough to meet up with Bonafide and his student and business partner Aman to hear both their stories and how they reached the point where they are now.  Be advised that this episode does have descriptions of violence.

This week I'm talking with artist Skewville.  Skewville was one of the first artists I noticed on the streets of NYC when I moved here back in 2008, with their iconic wooden sneakers hanging from wires all around Bushwick.  It was great to talk with Skewville about their esthetics and the origins of this project.

This week I'm talking with sticker artist Remand. He's only been in NYC for a little over a year but he is quickly climbing the ranks to being one of the most prolific sticker artists in the city. We're talking about why he loves stickers, what’s driving him to being omni present in this scene and where the name Remand came from.
