Watch it with: Somebody who won't punch you (or themselves) at the excellent jump scares.

Our hosts are utterly delighted by THE FINAL GIRLS (2015; Groundswell Productions, Studio Solutions, Ulterior Productions), but wish their mushroom pizza had been half as good as the movie.

Watch it with: Basically anyone who loves 80s horror; this is fantastically fun and appropriate for most audiences.

Jill and Caryn are finally able to watch the adaptation of one of Caryn's favorite books: DOCTOR SLEEP (2019; Warner Bros., Intrepid Pictures, Vertigo Entertainment). They're not sure what they enjoyed more, their dinner or the movie, so they talk at length about both.

BOOK SPOILERS WARNING: As per usual, the spoilers section of this episode spoils the ending of the movie, but Caryn also spoils many differences from the book. (She can't help it - she gets wound up and just starts ranting.)

Watch it with: Folks who have seen the 1980 Stanley Kubrick version of "The Shining" so they can appreciate all the amazing callbacks and references.

Sugared up and in the mood for a modern slasher, our hosts watch HELL FEST (2018; Tucker Tooley Entertainment, Ingenuity Studios (visual effects), Valhalla Motion Pictures). Jill finds it impossible to say the word “metal,” and Caryn finds it impossible to watch a particular scene.
