Takashi Yamazaki returns to write, direct, and handle the VFX for this sequel to 2023’s Godzilla Minus One. It picks up two years later with the same characters facing a fresh catastrophe. When the kaiju stuff is cooking, it’s breathtaking, especially in IMAX. When it’s not, the pacing drags and the melodrama takes over.

Martin McDonagh’s Wild Horse Nine is one of the funniest and most moving movies of 2026, and we’re breaking down what worked in this spoiler-free review.

John Malkovich and Sam Rockwell star as two CIA agents sightseeing on Easter Island, and Malkovich might deliver the performance everyone is talking about this year. Rockwell is just as good, with his best work since Three Billboards. Add Parker Posey, Steve Buscemi, and Tom Waits, and you get something that feels like the love child of In Bruges and The Banshees of Inisherin.

Na Hong-jin, the director of The Wailing, made a nearly three-hour Korean alien monster movie. Neon opened it on 1,500 screens in North America, and it somehow feels both four times too long and half as long as it should be. We get into all of it, spoilers and all.

It's not all bad though. The camera work is great, the destruction physics are fun, and there's a version of this movie buried in here somewhere.
