Chiwetel Ejiofor plays Clark with a quiet unraveling that had at least one of them fully hooked, but as the film stretches deeper into its liminal hallways, Shea and Brandon find themselves debating whether the bloat outweighs the scares or whether the film's ambiguity is actually its greatest strength.

Reviewing Kane Parsons directorial debut horror film BACKROOMS! Parsons also co-produced the score with Ido Van Breemen. The film was written by Will Soodik and stars Chiwetel Ejiofor as Clark, a furniture store owner, and Renate Reinsve as Clark’s therapist Mary. Mark Duplass, Finn Bennett as Bobby Roberts, and Lukita Maxwell round out the supporting cast. So is Backrooms a liminal horror masterpiece or a bit bloated? This week Shea and Brandon are taking the wheel on Passenger, the van life horror film that left them them more bored than afraid. From its its boring script to its underwhelming kills, they're breaking down exactly where this one went off the road.

The film was directed by André Øvredal and written by T.W. Burgess and Zachary Donohue. The film stars Jacob Scipio and Lou Llobell as Tyler and Maddie, two lovers leaving the big city and committing to van life. Unfortunately for Tyler and Maddie, a hitchhiking demon is not letting them live the van life alone.
