This week on the podcast Screen Verdict reviews Zero Dark Thirty and the hunt for Bin Laden. First we establish our thoughts on Kathryn Bigelow and Bin Laden. Do we like her films? Do we want Bin Laden to get caught?

On the podcast this week Screen Verdict lets their neuroses out as they review Silver Linings Playbook. Matt opens the podcast by suggesting to a skeptical Jonathan that we find a 'silver lining' for each criticism of the film.

This week Screen Verdict reviews Life of Pi in both 2D and 3D in order to have all our dimensions covered. Firstly we establish the difference between pi and pie and why meat pies seem to be under-utilised by countries outside Australia. Moving on to the director Ang Lee, Matt shares his thoughts on his films and Jonathan has to apologise for having skipped all of them.

Getting into the film the boys discuss the interesting mix of animals with Pi on the boat and who they would like to be stranded with. When it comes to survival strategy Matt tends to agree with Pi that he's an idiot and Jonathan reveals he may starve to death based on fussy eating habits.

We then provide a Screen Verdict rating for the film and address some of our international listeners in Housekeeping. Lastly we add a SHORT SPOILER SEGMENT discussing the much talked about ending of the film.

Matt and Jonathan discuss their expectations based on the Lord of the Rings films and the original books. They then share their opinions on the decision to break The Hobbit into three films.

Getting into the story the guys break down the adventures of Bilbo, Gandalf and the gang. Matt suggests you should always take the opportunity for an adventure and wonders how rock giants reproduce. Jonathan takes issue with dwarfs not picking up on a plan as well feeling the need to finish other people's sentences.
