(Spoilers in Podcast) This week Screen Verdict dedicates an entire podcast to HBO's Girls with our Season 2 Review. First off we wonder whether we learn about girls by watching Girls and why you probably shouldn't watch Girls on the train.

We split the season by the four main characters and their story arcs. We discuss Jessa, Shoshanna, Marnie and Hannah and share our opinions on all the decisions made by the girls. We also include our opinions on the guys including Adam, Ray, Charlie and whatever Donald Glover's character's name was.

Lastly we provide our Screen Verdict rating and correct a previous mistake on the podcast in Housekeeping.

(Minor Spoilers in Podcast) This week Screen Verdict reviews the magical prequel to the Wizard of Oz. Matt shares his opinions on the original while Jonathan struggles to recall if he's even seen it. They also address the scheduling mistake that unfortunately resulted in us seeing the film in 3D.

Getting into the film we address topics such as why people in Kansas seem confused by magic shows, how to pick up witches and what the film has in common with Cloud Atlas. We then go through the characters and pick which ones where our favourites and which could be replaced by cardboard cut outs.

We then move on to our weekly segment What Has (Oz the Great and Powerful) Taught Us and give our Screen Verdict ratings. Lastly in Housekeeping we share some listener feedback and some shenanigans from the library.

This week Screen Verdict reviews Cloud Atlas, the sprawling, ambitious, epic film from the Wachowski siblings and Tom Tykwer. Matt opens the podcast by establishing etiquette for answering the phone while naked, which may be relevant for Jonathan.

Moving on to why we picked this for a podcast despite our disdain for books and its lack of buzz. Jonathan shares his admiration of the Wachowski brothers and Matt reveals what he believes the film poster has in common with Gangnam style.

In order to review the film we go through the 6 stories and timelines chronologically and ask the big questions such as what's under a prosthetic nose and does Jim Broadbent know what sex is?

Lastly we provide our Screen Verdict rating for the film which divides the podcasters greatly and in Housekeeping we remind you of our poll to determine who gives the best Frank Underwood impression from House of Cards.

A podcast in two parts.

Part One (0-25 minutes) is spoiler free. In this segment Matt and Jonathan share their thoughts on Netflix teaming up with Kevin Spacey and David Fincher. We then discuss some topics including Frank's rowing machine, bringing back one of our favourite games Screw, Marry, Kill and have a Frank Underwood impression battle. We then give a Screen Verdict rating for the season.

Part Two (25-53 minutes) contains SPOILERS. In the second half of the podcast we go into further details of the show and share our reactions to the various plot developments and our hopes for season two. Lastly in Housekeeping we give a mini-review of the Oscars.

On the podcast this week Screen Verdict lets their neuroses out as they review Silver Linings Playbook. Matt opens the podcast by suggesting to a skeptical Jonathan that we find a 'silver lining' for each criticism of the film.

Getting into the film we take a look at some of the Oscar nominated actors including Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Robert DeNiro and Jackie Weaver. We also review the plans involving dancing and gambling and how we would go about these.

This week Screen Verdict reviews Life of Pi in both 2D and 3D in order to have all our dimensions covered. Firstly we establish the difference between pi and pie and why meat pies seem to be under-utilised by countries outside Australia. Moving on to the director Ang Lee, Matt shares his thoughts on his films and Jonathan has to apologise for having skipped all of them.

Getting into the film the boys discuss the interesting mix of animals with Pi on the boat and who they would like to be stranded with. When it comes to survival strategy Matt tends to agree with Pi that he's an idiot and Jonathan reveals he may starve to death based on fussy eating habits.

We then provide a Screen Verdict rating for the film and address some of our international listeners in Housekeeping. Lastly we add a SHORT SPOILER SEGMENT discussing the much talked about ending of the film.

This week Screen Verdict splatters blood across the airwaves as we review the new Tarantino film Django Unchained. Firstly we explain why the podcast was moved from Podcast HQ then we share our history with Tarantino. Matt explains why he still hasn't opened his copy of Pulp Fiction which leads to him revealing his greater fear of books than sex toys.

Getting into the film we discuss how excited we are with the set up of the film and the characters including Christoph Waltz, Jamie Foxx, Leonardo DiCaprio and Samuel L. Jackson. Along the way spot the potential for a crossover between Django Unchained and Wreck it Ralph as well as try to navigate our way around the N-word.
