Last week Netflix announced it was canceling the critically-adored sitcom 'One Day at a Time,' and TV Twitter got very upset. Could there be a future on another network for the re-imagined Norman Lear classic?

Now that the courts have given the final go-ahead to AT&T's acquisition of Time Warner, we're starting to see the future of WarnerMedia. That future means no Richard Plepler at HBO and no David Levy at Turner. Instead, Bob Greenblatt will oversee them both, plus a streaming service, in a new unit called WarnerEntertainment.

For a show without a host, things went off without a hitch. The Oscars this year got strong reviews and even a slight ratings boost. But how much of that success had to do with not having a host, and how much had to do with a strong set of winners and good speeches?

The consensus on this year's Grammys seems to be--it was a good one! But were speeches cut off too soon? It's a question on the minds of networks as we head into the Oscars and networks are trying to rescue the ratings of the awards show. 

Netflix has started releasing a limited amount of viewership data about some of its most successful shows. John Landgraf, the head of FX, says those Netflix ratings are not "remotely accurate."

TV shows from the UK are finding new and eager audiences stateside, thanks in part to streaming networks.

Mysterious singers, more performance shows and relationship reality series to boot. No, it's not the year 2000, but it sure feels like it--at least in terms of the resurgence of unscripted television.
