Tim's been getting a lot of flack on social media for raising awareness around the hordes of so called "experts" who are using social media to separate people from their hard earned money.
One of those so called experts even said that Tim was lazy and that if we wasn't prepared to name names, he should be quiet.
Tim does not name names but in this episode he calls out the tactics that are indicative of "experts" whose brand promise does not align with their actions. It's fun, it's short, and for those that are playing the scam game, likely a little uncomfortable.
Screw the Naysayers. We're Not Gonna Take It.
Ash Playsted is an entrepreneur, mentor, and Mindset Transformation coach. He calls himself the dragon slayer because his mission in life is to help people tame or slay the “inner dragons” that keep them awake at night.
Ash has started and exited five different businesses, a significant achievement in a world where most startups close when the founder leaves.
Ash and I hit our stride early and had a free flowing conversation about mindset and his journey of discovery. We talked about:
And got really deep on the issue of finding your purpose and what that really means. This episode is jam packed with practical advice on mindset. Pure gold. Enjoy

Jordan Gross is a two-time startup founder, a TEDx speaker, and a #1 best-selling author of a book called Getting COMFY: Your Morning Guide to Daily Happiness. He has another book on the way titled Your Journey To Cloud Nine. I guess I should mention that Jordan is an ancient 24 years old.
As some of you will know I love talking about happiness (it’s been at the core of my life philosophy for more than 30 years now). In preparing for this interview I was ready to take on this young expert, almost 40 years younger than me. Partly because the way we experience happiness definitely changes over time. So I’m thinking this youngster has a lot to learn. It turns out that I’m the one who did the learning. This was such an enjoyable conversation.
In this episode Jordan shares with us the process he’s using to write his next book. This includes asking people of all ages and all walks of life to share when they last felt free and electrifying joy, or in his vocabulary a “cloud nine” moment. He even sat down with homeless people and asked them to describe the happiest part of their day. Their answers may surprise you.
Near the end I ask Jordan where he would be in ten years. He flips the question and focuses on what he hopes to achieve. For me, and likely for you, it was a spine tingling moment. Learn from this episode and key am eye on Jordan. He won’t disappoint. Enjoy.

In this episode Tim talks about the 5 types of people who offer advice to anyone that wants more in their life, but has allowed the world to see their doubts. The first four characters make up 99% of the people you will engage. They are described as:
Learn how to recognize each type of advice giver.
Marc Champagne is the co-founder of KYŌ ((kee-oh) meaning “today” in Japanese.
KYŌ is an app that fuel people's daily reflection through questions from some of the most inspiring figures in the world. This was a fascinating conversation that touches on three of the big topics we speak often about on Screw the Naysayers.
We went deep on the importance of being mindful and living in the present. We talked about Marc’s transition from the world of corporate employee with a steady paycheck to co-founder of a tech company (his mother supports him but still doesn’t understand). And we dug into the realities of starting a new business. In Marc’s eyes there are three big phases in the life of a Tech Startup. The honeymoon period, which lasted about six months for Marc, was followed by the “messy middle.” That’s where Marc is now. He’s three years into the process and expects this to be reality for another 1-2 years. When people ask “how’s business,” Marc replies “it’s good. We’re building.” The last stage is where you grow big or fail.
KYŌ is definitely a long term play, but it is starting to show great promise with more than 68,000,000 users. Unlike other Meditation Based Apps, KYŌ uses simple but powerful questions to get you to focus on the here and now, or as Marc said, to kick us out of autopilot. The average user spends between 3-7 minutes, including time spent journaling your answer. This makes it an ideal tool to fit into a busy lifestyle.
For me this discussion was educational and informative. Enjoy...
