Script or Screen is back for another year of movies, TV and good times. To ring in the new year, Chris and Zach are taking a look back at one of the last movies of 2021, Adam McKay’s Don’t Look Up. A lot of noise has been made about this movie and not all of it is good, so the boys are digging into what exactly people didn’t like, as well as looking at McKay’s other films. You know what they say, "The road goes ever on an on." And so do Chris and Zach in the second half of their discussion on Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. With the eponymous team now formed, it’s time to journey onward above and below the Misty Mountains and beyond to new and dangerous locales. Find a cozy place to sit down, because there’s still so much to talk about in this episode of Script or Screen.

In celebration of the twentieth anniversary of the release of Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, Chris and Zach have journeyed into the vast expanses of Middle Earth in what is definitely their deepest dive to date. So, get yourself something to drink and a comfortable pillow, because we’re leaving no stone unturned.

The holiday season is upon us and there are simply too many movies and shows and nowhere near enough time to see them all. So, this time Chris and Zach are switching things up. It’s a Lightning Round here at Script or Screen for everything the boys have seen or want to see during this festive time of year.

Marvel is back once again with their newest entry in the long and winding road that is the MCU. Eternals has arrived, and Chris and Zach are here to tell you if it’s the worst movie ever created, as some people have said, or if it’s actually pretty good. Spoiler alert, it’s actually pretty good. Decide for yourself, really. Then come back and give this episode a listen. It’s also pretty good.

Chris and Zach are back to talk about Squid Game, Netflix’s hottest series since probably Tiger King. I don’t know, I don’t read their analytics. But let me tell you folks, make sure you’re not sleeping on the stuff coming out of South Korea. They’ve been knocking it out of the park for decades and not enough people talk about these movies and shows. Seriously, Squid Game is just the tip of the iceberg.

Dune was freakin’ great. But you know what’s also great? Between recording this episode and posting, they’ve gone ahead and greenlit Dune Part 2. That means more sand, more spice, more giant worms and more of that insane Zimmer score. We trusted in Denis Villenueve and he didn’t let us down. Now he gets to finish the job. We are truly in a Dune-iverse now.

Netflix will soon be releasing their adaptation of Cowboy Bebop and so Chris and Zach are revisiting this all-time anime classic. As one of the most popular animated series ever created, let’s just say expectations for the live action version are a little high. But it’s gonna be fine, right? Nothing questionable ever comes from Netflix, right? I’m not worried. You’re worried.
