I recorded this in my car using my phone on the morning of 2/9/22. This was immediately after my last shift of being employed full time at the hospital I was working for.

Bob is a friend whose mom died in 2019 shortly after a liver transplant. She died from complications secondary to DIC- disseminated intravascular coagulation. DIC is a complicated condition where your body uses up all its clotting factors and then you essentially bleed to death. It is exactly as gruesome as it sounds. In this episode Bob talks about his experience with his mom during and after and his struggle to try to learn and educate about the condition.

This video was made 1/20/21. It is indeed a new day in America. Joe Biden has ascended to the presidency. Let me be clear, I'm no fan. I talk about his becoming president and how we (conservatives) need to do him like they (liberals/democrats) did Trump. I talk about getting my second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and the hope that having a vaccine and receiving it brings.

Folks, it's been a long several days. Politics aside-my wife has been sick, luckily not COVID. She started not feeling well last Wednesday and hasn't gotten any relief. She was admitted to the hospital this afternoon.

Now to politics- I am pretty upset with the political climate of our country right now. I have decided that I am going to run for office. We simply need better and different people representing us.

The limiting of speech by large tech companies is absolutely abhorrent and despicable. This goes beyond President Trump. It will make it to you and me and sooner than you think.

I think our country is in grave danger. You should too...

Matt is a former Army combat medic and flight medic that continued on and became and LPN in the Army system. Matt is a combat veteran of Desert shield and desert storm. His entire military service was as an enlisted man, eventually retiring as an E-6 SSG from the Army Reserve. He is currently a registered nurse with a MSN from Western Governor University and is an instructor for a fully accredited nursing school.

Today I was able to get the vaccine against Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2). I was more emotional than I thought I would be about it. There is hope now folks. Please go get vaccinated.  I give surgery updates on both me and my wife as well as a little social commentary.
