The fruit of a healthy, growing disciple is not of our making, but Christ’s! It is His fruit displayed in us, on us, through us, for all to see. Divine fruit, hanging on “human” branches!

The major theme that is found throughout the book is what the life of a follower of Jesus looks like; what it means to have a life found “in Christ”. The more we discover how life in Christ forms every aspect of daily living, the more we experience the freedom, peace, and joy that comes from God alone.

When our contentment isn’t contingent upon what we have or don’t have, we are able to spend our lives giving rather than taking. This is so freeing! Let’s be reminded this week that everything we need, in Christ, we already possess!

This week, let’s be honest about where we have located our source of strength. My prayer for all of us is that we are reminded in deeper and brighter ways that the source of our strength is found in Christ alone!

As you reflect on this great passage and others from God’s Word, begin to notice where your mind tends to focus. Discipline your mind to focus on the positives listed in verses 8.

This week we continue our series in the book of Philippians and we learn a very practical principle about dealing with worry and anxiousness. Paul gives us practical advice on how to use worry as a starting place for prayer that moves towards peace.

This week begins our exploration of the great truths of this great chapter. As you study the passages below, ask God to solidify these truths in your heart and mind, that you might walk with Him and in them daily.

This week’s verses give us direction for responding to the God of Grace and our future with Him. Although they speak of eternity beyond this life, they also teach us lessons that help us walk with God now, while still on Earth. Keep growing!

Our successes and our failures in the past can become a hindrance to the new life Christ has for us so learning the discipline of looking ahead is a key to Christian maturity.
