No one really knows what the coming year may hold. I believe God calls His people to joyful expressions of sacred optimism

This week we move toward our celebration of Jesus’ birth on Christmas Eve with no doubt, that this Baby Jesus was indeed the one true source of salvation, revelation and consolation.

The angels declared that a Savior had been born and that peace was now available to the people of planet Earth.

God revealed Himself to Magi from the East, these were unlikely people to respond to the message that a new King was born. We see how their search for the Messiah ends with rejoicing with great joy.

This week as we reflect and focus on the meaning of Jesus’ birth. We will explore how Jesus’ birth paved the way for us to experience real hope for our lives today.

In this passage, the leaders in Israel were compromising their beliefs and living in sin but God, in His great mercy, preserves them and gives them an opportunity to change.
