  • The drugging of our vets - an army psychologist reveals what's happening
They go to war, they come home, and too often they're just thrown on mind-altering drugs instead of getting the help they really need to recover. On today's show, I interview Dr. Bart Billings, a retired army colonel and psychologist who served in the military for over 30 years. Dr. Billings reveals the change that's happened over the years regarding how we treat our vets who are injured or struggling, and what happens to many of them as a result of the drugs they're being prescribed.

  • Dr. Steven Gundry on Big Pharma, Vitamin D and answers to listeners' questions
My energy was incredibly low, I had difficulty thinking at times, and for years I searched to figure out what was wrong. In the last year I’ve lost 20 lbs, regained my energy and can think clearly again in part because of a book called The Plant Paradox by Dr. Steven Gundry. In this interview with Dr. Gundry, he talks about what the pharmaceutical industry is trying to do to us in order to keep their profits up, what the seal of approval from the American Heart Association really signifies, the role Vitamin D plays in the regeneration of the cells in our gut, and he answers some questions from listeners who have been using his program. This is Part 1 of my Doctor Series.

  • A Tuskegee Airmen on shooting down Nazis and civil rights today
A rare interview with a true changemaker, a surviving member of the Tuskegee Airmen - the all black air squadron formed to fight the Nazis during WWII - who tells us what it was like flying a fighter to protect our bombers and shooting down enemy fighters. He gives us details on what it was like when the enemy was coming after him, the day he almost got shot down, what he had to do to go to the bathroom while flying for hours on end, how cold it was at the altitude he was flying, the scenery he saw, and what he thinks of civil rights today.

  • Eliminating the Electoral College - good or bad for our country?
Probably one of the most misunderstood parts of our election process is the Electoral College. Many want to eliminate it because it just seems to go against our American system to have someone win the popular vote, but LOSE the election as happened to Hillary Clinton and Al Gore. But the Founders put it in place for very specific reasons which had nothing to do with slavery, or that they mistrusted democracy.
And now there is a movement called the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact - heard of it? Well, 16 states have signed on. The idea is that every state in the Compact agree to cast their electoral votes to whatever candidate wins the popular vote for president. If enough states did this, it would basically eliminate the Electoral College.
But would this violate the Constitution (which put the Electoral College in place)? Would it be good for the country? And what the heck is the point of the Electoral College anyway?
Professor Rob Natelson walks us through all the issues and explains very clearly why the Founders put the Electoral College in place, and whether or not it has relevance in our modern society. As the electoral college is the way your president is elected, you might want to understand it as best you can, and decide for yourself whether we should keep it or not regardless of your party affiliation.

  • What to do if someone opens fire where you're at - school, mall, work, concert, etc.
When it happens, it'll happen unexpectedly. You're at the mall, your school, a concert, your place of worship, or some other public facility, and someone starts randomly shooting people - a truly horrible event that will probably never happen to you - but if it did, what would you do?
Today I interview Allen Banks, a 40-year security industry veteran who is dedicating himself to educating us all on 1) what to look for that can help prevent such incidents before they happen and 2) what to do if you're caught up in one. Simple tips you can implement in your workplace, suggest your child's school put in place, or simply have in mind in case the unexpected happens to you.

  • What events led up to us declaring our independence from Great Britain in 1776?
What events were bad enough for us to take the crazy, bold step of announcing we were no longer going to be loyal to the crown in Great Britain at a time when that country was the most powerful on earth? What mistakes did Great Britain make? Who in the British government warned them to leave the colonies alone? And what aspects of the British government did we fold into our own Constitution (you might be surprised)?
In this episode I interview Constitutional genius Prof. Rob Natelson who walks us eloquently through the events that led up to our break from Great Britain, and he breaks down the sections of our own government we modeled after our enemy.

  • David Sanchez - from a life of drugs, crime and prison to helping others avoid the same traps
A neighbor thought it would be funny to give marijuana to David Sanchez at the age of nine years old. And from the very first hit, it controlled his life for the next 40 years. In this amazing interview with someone who's been through it all, hear David describe what it feels like to need drugs so bad you'll do anything to get it, and what happens physically to the body when it's not gotten. And how he rose like a phoenix from the ashes to where he is today helping others avoid the path through hell that he traveled.

  • The mom with a simple idea helping thousands of mothers in need
We all saw it - the image of the 3-year-old Syrian boy who lay drowned on the beach. His family was fleeing the war, and his mom and brother tried to get to the Greek island of Kos from Turkey.
But one mom who saw it, Cristal Logothetis, couldn’t shake that image and decided she had to do something to help. And with one very simple idea (utilizing something sitting unused in her garage), and a couple of posts on social media, within days Cristal was swamped with donations and thousands of that same item other moms also had in their garages. Having never done anything like this before, she packed up the items and flew to Kos and did what she had originally set out to do – she brought aid and relief to countless mothers struggling to get their children to a safe and secure place, and out of harms way.
This is a story of one person who simply wanted to help, and with very little effort, started a worldwide movement.
