In 2015 an intrepid band of explorers and archaeologists went deep into the Mosquitia Jungle of Honduras in search of the fabled Lost City of the Monkey God or Ciudad Blanca, The White City. Despite challenges from skeptics in the academic world and the dangers of the jungle, including venomous snakes, Jaguars, and a vicious, invisible parasite, the team discovered a lost city of unknown people. Our guest Tom Weinberg was there and chronicled the incredible expedition that pioneered the use of LIDAR technology in archaeology.
