  • Service and sacrifice
If Acts has two streams (the ministries of Peter and of Paul) then it also has three waves, as Christ's gospel spreads from Jerusalem, through Judea and Samaria, to the end of the earth. Here we are in Antioch, as the church separates Barnabas and Saul to the work of gospel preaching beyond the Mediterranean. We look at the men involved, the ministry they had, the motion of the Holy Spirit, and then the mission on which they were sent.

  • Of Troublers and the Truth
Galatians 5:7–12 presents Paul confronting the Judaising teachers who were hindering the Galatian churches from obeying the truth of justification by faith alone. This exposition examines Paul's indictment of those who corrupt the gospel, the nature of the doctrinal leaven they spread, and the apostle's confidence in the perseverance of the saints over against false teaching. Main points: - the hindrance: who was troubling the Galatians and how - the leaven: the corrupting spread of doctrinal error - the offense of the cross: why the true gospel always provokes opposition Scripture references: - Genesis 17:10-14 - Psalm 19:7-11 - Isaiah 53:3-6 - Galatians 1:6-9; 2:11-16; 3:1-3; 5:1-12 - Philippians 3:2-9 - Colossians 2:11-14 Free Grace Baptist Church — https://www.freegrace.ca Full transcript & sermon notes: https://sermons.freegrace.ca/sermons/sermon-galatians-5-of-troublers-and-the-truth Description generated by Tyrannus.ai: https://www.tyrannus.ai

  • Love Your Pastor
This sermon emphasizes the biblical command to honor and love church leaders, grounding the discussion in 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13. It defines the pastoral role as a holy calling rather than a mere profession, illustrating this through the personal testimony of surrendering to God's directive to preach. The message highlights the pastor's faithfulness to God, family, and ministry, noting the spiritual burdens and constant opposition they face. By contrasting the pastor's dedication with the congregation's need for consistency, the sermon urges believers to support their leaders with respect and active participation in the church. Ultimately, it calls the audience to recognize the pastor as a fellow saved sinner who is worthy of double honor for their labor in the word.

  • 🌿 The Seven Jewish Feasts: God’s Prophetic Calendar of Redemption 🔥
🌿 THE SEVEN JEWISH FEASTS: GOD'S APPOINTED TIMES AND THE STORY OF REDEMPTION What do the seven Jewish feasts have to do with Jesus Christ and the Christian life? In Leviticus 23, God established seven appointed feasts for Israel. These were not simply Jewish holidays—they were "the feasts of the LORD." When studied alongside the rest of Scripture, these appointed times provide a remarkable biblical picture of redemption, holiness, resurrection, the Gospel harvest, Christ's return, atonement, and God's eternal dwelling with His people. We begin with Genesis 1:14, where God established the heavenly lights "for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years." The Hebrew concept of appointed times provides an important foundation for understanding the biblical calendar and the feasts described in Leviticus 23. In this Bible study, we examine each feast in two ways: 🔹 Passover — Israel's physical deliverance through the blood of the lamb, pointing to Christ our Passover and His sacrifice for our sins. 🔹 Unleavened Bread — Israel's separation from Egypt and removal of leaven, reminding Christians of our call to holiness and separation from sin. 🔹 Firstfruits — the first portion of Israel's harvest, pointing to Christ's resurrection as the firstfruits of them that slept. 🔹 Pentecost — the harvest celebration, providing a powerful connection to Acts 2, the coming of the Holy Spirit, and the Gospel harvest. 🔹 Trumpets — the appointed memorial of blowing trumpets, providing rich biblical imagery concerning proclamation, preparation, resurrection, and the return of Christ. 🔹 Day of Atonement — Israel's sol

  • Is God’s Word Practical?
I believe that Mark chapter 4 is a very critical chapter in the Bible for us to understand. It explains very clearly the difference between God's role and the believers role in sharing the gospel. If you take the general teachings of most churches in America you will probably find that the church does not understand the truth that we discover in Mark chapter 4. The average church teaches that the church is not relevant for today's culture and must be more practical and the people need to feel more comfortable when coming to church. So what most do is to adjust the service to included elements to make sure the crowds are comfortable and they water down the Word of God. The whole point of the church today is to make the service more practical for the crowds, not understanding the word of of God will never be understood until God changes the hearts of people so they can hear and respond to God's word and extrude worship.
